With Friday night, Saturday lunch, Saturday teatime, Sunday lunch, Sunday tea time, Monday night and Wednesday night all earmarked for live t.v how many Saturdays are going to be ruined for us...The fans??

Don't be to surprised in the not to distant future for FA Cup games to be staged from a Thursday night through to Monday night to get a extra game on TV.We already have Frid-Mon games but i listened to Paul Merson a few weeks ago saying TV was crying out for more Thursday night football.

Merse hasn't got a fucking clue what day it is anyway so I doubt that suggestion will be taken seriously.

At least we (the foreign fans) can watch our team on TV more often! No consolation for the locals though!

The deal is great but like you say we can expect alot of disruption to fixtures after this deal.No thought is given to the millions of shift workers who buy season tickets and then have to try and swap shifts or book holidays to see games. Also surely now ticket prices can come down as a result of this?

If they'd scrapped the shit Monday night fixtures, I'd have taken the Friday ones, but they haven't. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, totally wank.

This may well be the tipping point where 'distance' fans like me don't renew season tickets unless the cost is reduced or maintained at a level where missing games is not an issue.
We already struggle with work and family commitments with midweek and Monday KO's, late KO's on a Sunday are also problem. Getting to a Friday night home game via M6, M40 or M1 is not viable.
Plenty to mull over once the renewals comeround in March next year.
going to Brentford tonight - the winger Jota is worth the entrance money alone

This isn't an issue in small doses but on a regular basis I can see this becoming a problem. My job isn't important though, not when Wayne earns 300 grand a week.

With more staggered kick off times will this effect attendances, if so no need to fill the corners in.But lets be honest it wont affect us that much as the powers to be don't want us on telly,as we are not good for viewing figures in the far east.

There's only one extra game a season which will be on a Friday night. I'd take a Friday night game over a Monday game every time.

There will be no more weeknight games than when we were in the Championship. Not that I agree with football every night of the week, which might be how it ends up.

Friday night matches are a real problem for travelling fans as most motorways are virtually stationary from mid afternoon.

Part of the thing with the TV times is that they choose them so that the games take place at times convenient for the foreign market. Midday kick offs are wonderful for the Asian audience and so on.
The problem is that if the Premier League gets its act together, sods off all of the TV deals, imposes proper wage and transfer caps on clubs and has every game kick off on Saturday at 3 PM, then all that will happen is that some other country will start playing the game and will hoover up lots and lots of TV money, leaving our league looking like the SPL. Football is fundamentally broken and a massive, worldwide restructuring of the game is needed to fix things.

I don't quite get the reason for Friday night games, the Premier League and Scudamore have clearly done this to appease the foreign market. But how often are the big 6/7 really going to feature on a Friday night? With these teams being in Europe for normally 2/3 of the season they will rarely be on TV so its only going to affect mid to lower end of the league teams.

Can't have it both ways and it's not as if it will affect us much.
If we get more global exposure out of it though then great.

CL club managers are always saying they need more help with fixtures, will the TV companies consider them? For example, the weekend before a CL match, pick them for Friday night? Monday night matches for weekends following away games in Europe? Obviously when there are consecutive weeks of European fixtures, this won't work.
