Doing the lads bedroom later this year, and here in Thai can get a right good piece of art done for next to nowt, was thinking of a collage of 4 stoke city legends. 3 Obvious ones are Sir Stan, Waddo, & Banksy ( no...Not the vandal). Who to pick as 4th, Thought of TP, but already got 1 manager. Steino. Riccardo. Ryan. Maybe even Delap.... Huddy. Thoughts anyone. And if it looks good will post it on ere, and maybe even offer em for sale....

Just thought of little known Denis He rod who as a goalie broke his arm came out of goal played on the wing and scored against Aston Villa

Of the old brigade, Greenhoff would be top of the pile for me with Denis Smith a close second. In terms of sheer skill Huddy was the best but as people, Jimmy G and Smithy had no equals and both had very long careers as Stoke players.
Of the modern players I'd probably go for Ric - just for the sheer excitement he brought to our games - but ask me in a year or two and I hope the answer will be Bojan!

Sir Stan Denis Smith Peter Fox Jonothan Walters
I've tried to pick one from different positions and eras so bound to miss other candidates. Shame you can't delay For a couple of years then you would hopefully add Bojan SP.

Main theme will be a hybrid of the Vic & the Brit, as a background, with the current crest in the middle, with 4 ( or maybe 6) legends around the badge....Will either look wank, or awesome, but either way will be cheap enough to cover in emulsion if it looks wank.

Manager has to be Waddo. Although TP brought us out of the wilderness, like Waddo did, I think Waddo just gets it because of his longevity and the Cup win.

When can Shawcross be considered a legend? Joined on loan Aug. 2007, so this year will be his 8th year, currently 27 and contracted until summer 2018

How old is your lad SP?
If he is reasonably young then I would suggest a modern day hero, Wilson Palacios is a good shout if it's a big wall!

Tbh I'd begrudgingly put TP in front of Waddo. He took us from relegation fringes to the top table in a relatively short space of time plus the FA cup final which Waddo never managed. It's a close call but I think it was more of an achievement with how the game is these days

What about Bojan so it's not out of date too soon. Failing that Ryan sums our modern era up the best.

Maybe go thru the ages : Sir Stan, Huddy; Steino; Ric or Ryan - sort of showing Stoke thru the ages & that as fans, we are only in the here and now, our fathers & grandfathers went before us and, hopefully, our kids and grand kids will follow. Sort of Stoke is not for life but for family & generations?

Might get that as a painting. Then on the wall prob gonna go, Sir Stan, Waddo,Huddy Greenhoff, Steino, Ryan. As an other poster said this epitomises stoke through the last 50 years or so.

Gotta be Banksy and Sir Stan as stand outs. After that you can make a case for about 20 others if not more
