Hated the bloody thing myself and I know many refused to pay the £10 it cost out of principle. However with recent events regarding ticket availability, would our request for more tickets have been looked on more favourably if the scheme was still in operation? Would many people support it's introduction if it meant getting a bigger allocation of tickets, for example the Blackburn game?

You wouldn't need a big allocation with ID cards

No need for id cards anymore. The club has everyone on file now so why would you need to have another layer of identity. Haven't all the tickets for Blackburn been sold to season ticket holder's anyway?

ABSOLUTELY NO , on this my friend. Anyway we don't need them it's just GMP who don't like us I feel. As a club and its supporters we have moved on from them times when we had them.

They clearly haven't worked. 10 years of Stoke fans doing naff all and the Police still treat us utter contempt. Fuck them!

We were still treated like shit when we had them so what is the point? Thats the thing. Thats one thing what led to SCFC scrapping them.

It probably would have been looked on more favourably mate but like you say they were hated by the majority of fans. The irony in your post is its 12 years to the day/this weekend since they were 1st used at Grimsby by those unfortunate 600 or so hardy souls with Mills and Iwelumo up front

So, the club could sell 20,000 + ID cards and we'd all be in the same boat we are now regarding away tickets.

The same cards that forced Stoke fans to travel by official coach only (Derby/Cardiff)? Nah.

We were still treated like shit when we had them so what is the point? I just wondered if it would have helped us get more Blackburn tickets if they were in operation? It would have helped us secure 7,000 tickets yes. We'd have sold about 1,000 though so it would have all been kind of pointless......
