Deon Burton Played a significant role in getting us to where we are now. Those goals against Cardiff and Brentford were major. Amazing he is still playing. I thought he was at the back end of his career when he played for us! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31147812

He had been around forever when we got him. Impressive how he's continued to play. Remember exploding after that goal against Brentford.

he did, however, slightly spoil the play-off final by spending the entire second half being flagged offside

It was the moment when I think we all felt we were finally going to get out that division. That goal he got against Cardiff proved to be a big one too.

Deon's goal against Cardiff was the one that changed the play off around and gave us belief and i for one will be forever grateful to him.Didn't he score a couple in another away game in the run in?

Says on the report he's only 38, that means he was only 22 or 23 when he played for us? I Thought he was a lot older than that

Don't forget that Cutler saved a one on one minutes before Burton scored. If cutler hadn't of saved that Burton's goal would of been academic.
These two moments literally changed the fortunes of stoke city.

Was a weird loan spell. He'd scored a few in the Prem for Derby and he should have been brilliant at that level. Instead he was faintly underwhelming while still scoring 4-5 incredibly important goals.

We really struggled for strikers Sheiky, absolutely. But I was expecting him to be absolutely shit hot and instead it looked like that was about his level.
