After much debating with my good friend Trevor we have finally purchased our first ever away tickets off the interweb for the Newcastle match this Sunday. We need to know - can i take a flask - are there toilets on the coaches provided by the club. - are we safe once we leave the coach to attend the game And on the way back to them.
Very excited, hope more to come as long as it goes well cant see mother having any gripes.

I advise you to take a plastic container....preferably tupperware, and take some of mothers cottage pie lunch. Take enough for Trev.

First away day eh? Be afraid very afraid Hot drink for sure. Ring mum when at ground and when leaving. Oh and dont leave the group. if ye find yourselves alone ye may never make it back to the coach alive. Oh and most important 1st away day lads get the first beers in for rest of the coach ;-)

You and Trevor really are going to have a fab time. Stay clear of the quayside there are women after men and all sorts of nasty drinking going on there. Get straight back to your coach to make sure your safe, then phone home. You might find a café near the bus to top your flask up, not sure hope someone can help you on this?

Thanks for advice. I may even participate in some singing. If Backburn give us extra 2,000 i may go there. This is getting exciting

As mentioned the seats are very high up and the wind blows right through one's willows at that altitude. To get some great snaps of the ground (and indeed the surrounding panorama of the North East) I would recommend taking a selfie stick. My mates recently took one to the game at Rotherham, and aside from a few choice comments ('MOVE THAT FUCKINGSTICK OR I WILL SHOVE IT UP YOUR BASTARD ARSE'), we encountered no problems.I understand the "Geordies" are notorious for their "banter" so will welcome your and your stick/flask/tartan rug with open arms

PMSL @ this thread. It's part of the reason why I still read the forum. A bit of advice young 'un... make sure you keep hold of Trevor's hand and practice saying "Why hi the noo, marrer" just in case you get lost. LOL. OS.

Don't climb the first few floors of stairs too quickly, remember it's a marathon not a sprint!?

Blackburn is the most dangerous away game in the world. They have about 1350 pwopa nawty boys, and what stoke haven't made public is that the 4400 allocation to date includes 4000 private security staff. Kyles sister is really scared too.
Be careful when you get searched. The stewards have a policy that you cant take anything in the ground in your pockets, bags or carried...you have to stick them up your arse. So, a big flask probably isn't advisable

I'm also going Newcastle, though I'm scared of heights so I am little afraid. Hold me someone?
