The build up around Sir Stan yesterday by the media got me thinking about that statue. It really is a disgrace where it's placed and wouldn't take much effort at all to have it moved, the clubs greatest ever player, and an awesome statue is just wasted stuck at the back of a fucking car park. There are other things though as well, Bayern mentioned the traffic management in another thread, it's awful. The path leading back to Heron Cross needs work too, and it would cost fuck all. At least the concourse was finally revamped this year. Agree wholeheartedly on this one. After the Manure game the path was frozen and nothing short of treacherous.Would of cost fuck all to have gritted it,but I bet it wasn't even considered.

It would cost fuck all to widen it as well and massively speed it up. Yes the council own it, but it's BECAUSE of the club that work needs doing on it.

I would at least have thought the club would take responsibility for it on a match day,for the welfare of their own fans.

The statue wasn't supposed to be my main point here tbh, it was merely an example of a general feeling towards how the merchandising, customer service and PR is carried out by the club.

Its wasted where it is. You can hardly see it on match day when the car park is full and I can never see it when im on a50 there are trees and hedges in the way. It needs something done to it.
