So what type of art does the average Stoke Fan prefer... I'm a fan of Damien Hirst & thought his Impossibility Of Death In The Mind Of Someone Living, was a stroke of genius...

L. S. Lowry for me. His simplicity is astounding. I also like Keith Woodcock who is an aviation artist in particular his Black Buck One painting of a Vulcan approaching a Victor Tanker during operation Black Buck during Falklands war sends shivers down my spine.

Its gotta be the geezer who loved to give the happy tree a little friend. Yes I remember him , Bob....can't rember his surname I'm afraid , painted some marvelous American landscapes always including a log cabin and as you say plenty of trees , he's been dead a few years now I believe

I wasn't saying his art is any good. hence the use of the term "investment" a picture of his is a piece of history.

Wassily Kandinsky (Painting With Black Arch) is my favourite Artist but I'm also an admirer of;
Liubov Popova
Hilma Af Klint
Sonia Delaunay (electric prisms)
On a more contemporary note I quite like John McLeans work (Whirligig, Schotts )
Hate Jackson Pollock & Mark Rothko...utter shite.
