Muniesa is in for Ryan so with Pieters still out it looks like we'll have to suffer sideways Wilson at left back Who would you prefer who is available? Wilson at centre back and Muniesa at left back as he offers more going forward, much more than Wilson

Bookies liking Newcastle is making me even more nervous than usual. They typically know what theyre doing.

This one looks like a routine defeat if ever I have seen one but you just never quite know.

I reckon Hughes will play Diouf up top and rest Walters - we could well benefit from his pace on the break in what is sure to be a counter-attacking performance. I usually expect nothing from trips to Newcastle (and I am not often disappointed in that regard), but our improved away form makes me feel we may just sneak this one with the odd goal in three.

Muniesa is in for Ryan so with Pieters still out it looks like we'll have to suffer sideways Wilson at left back I watched the whole of the QPR match, paying particular attention to Wilson. I thought about writing a play by play. I didn't see him do anything particularly bad. he was in the wrong place for their goal, but so was everyone else. He can't be everywhere. I really don't get this Wilson bashing. And more of his passes were forward than sideways.

Muniesa is a better centre back and left back than Wilson - with Ryan and Erik out, I'd still play Wilson at left back if I had to choose between the two, as he is likely to do less damage there. Personally, I'd consider starting Cameron at centre back, and Muniesa at left back.

It's pretty much a given that either will come up with a costly error at least once per game

I would play Muniesa every time because of his attacking threat, but I still think Wilson is better than the bashing he gets on this site.

I'd happily take a point right now. My back four would be Cameron, Wolf, Muniesa, Wilson, but I suspect Hughes will start with Bardsley, Wolf, Muni, and Wilson. I would certainly start with Diouf up top. His pace will keep their defenders back. Then it will become a battle who wins the midfield. 1-1 for me.

I'd take Arnie out for this one Diouf in Get some pace at their fullbacks. To be fair if Arnoutivic does play he can craft some openings. Our bench looks stronger than theirs.

Newcastle look dangerous going forward with Cabella and Sissoko but they play open football so hopefully we can catch them on the counter attack and knock one in and park the bus from then on. I will go 1-0 Stoke.

I think that if we can get an early goal tomorrow, we could go on to give them a hiding. The main thing is not to let them get their tails up because they can hurt anybody when they are on form. I would go with
Bego
GCam Wolly Muni Pieters (if fit)
N Zonzi Whelan
Arnie Ireland Walters
Diouf
The reason I would go with Diouf up top and SJW out wide? 2 reasons. Firstly, SJW will track back to support his full back, and secondly, Diouf can hurt them more on the counter with his pace.

Anyone else been on the Newcastle forum for their preview against us? Surprisingly apathetic considering Pardew has finally fooked back South and having dicked Hull away last week too.
Strange bunch that seem to be constantly miserable/discontent about something.
