The bore draw specialists on last generally - Villa and Sunderland
Fair enough.
Big team bias on first is standard

You think they would always put one of the big games on last to make people keep watching.
Imo any games previously shown live should be last.
I do not think there is a football fan alive who shuts his ears all day to wait for MOTD so it really annoys me how bbc news male this song snd dance about leaving the room as they tell you the results 5 minutes before motd starts

If you want to be on first and aren't a "top" team, then the moral let in a lot of goals!!!

Only 2 teams who've never been first!

QPR seem to be on first far more than their normal position would seem to indicate.
Remind me which is the closest club to BBC Broadcasting House?

Haven't watched MOTD for years. I've found goals on Sunday 100000 times better. They have guests on every week, good banter, no bias to a running order, insightful analysis plus they show championship and Scottish goals.

You think they would always put one of the big games on last to make people keep watching. But then the majority waiting for the big games would only tune in later, so no win. Interesting business conundrum though - how to keep people tuned in to the end - nude presenters? (not Jug-ears and Lawro of course).

There's no predetermined narrative to the games, which is so abundantly clear with MOTD. Kammy & Ben Shephard do a brilliant job hosting too.

Come on, it's fashionable to run down MOTD but I would be totally gutted if it wasn't on. It's been announced that the BBC have got it until at least 2019 and I think that's excellent news for all football fans

Far better analysis and you don't have to put up with Shearer and Murphy.

It is a dreadful show. I record it on and watch on Sunday fast forwarding through all the crap chat.

Match of the Day is good because it's a highlights programme on terrestrial television that isn't on ITV. Despite it being lightweight pulp for the most part, it's still *the* football programme and the first port of call for the highlights of the day's games. I'd like to see a lot of changes, though. I'd cull some of the dross on the pundit team, so Keown, Murphy, Shearer, Hartson and co. would all be put out of work. I'd suggest to the pundits that survive that it might be nice if they express an opinion once in a while. Matches would be chosen on merit, so that the viewing audience would be spared the 20 minutes of highlights with further 20 minutes of analysis of the latest 0-0 draw that nobody cares about between the top teams. As a final treat, I'd do a special highlight section at the start and end of each episode highlighting and shaming the diving cheats from that week. I think I would call it 'the Arsenal section'.
