Pffft. You lot are really generous. I'm glad he's working hard when he might be naturally inclined not to. He's still not having enough of an effect on games for me. He's not "the answer", put it that way. He's like a lot of our players: nearly very good. He lacks the extra quality that usually requires decent expenditure. In that regard he is no worse than Whelan, Walters or N'Zonzi.

The bloke is a complete bull on the ball so difficult to knock off. His decision making at times lets him down but I thought he had a decent game was certainly looking for the ball.

I hate his reaction to losing the ball, or sometimes the way he holds himself if the play doesn't go perfectly. A very frustrating player to have in your team if you ask me, but has undoubted quality, speed and strength if it could be harnessed

Not a patch on our other winger. Anonymous second half but good albeit simple ball for the fourth Some wont see because they're determined not to. It's a shame that some judge some of our team by how they want the to perform rather than the performance they actually put in.

You could say the same about posters rimming him because we've got a two page thread on Arnie, whilst our better winger scored and created a far more difficult goal at a crucial time in the match is overlooked. Does his performance and a 7 yard square ball across the box deserve a rimming? Not in my eyes.

Probably 11 yards having seen it again. Or should that be a world class diagonal ball whipped in under pressure in your opinion? Sidibe delivered a better cross than that for Delap's winner vs Spurs in our first PL season. It wasn't a difficult cross for a professional winger!

Not 7 yards. Not 11 yards. This just demonstrates how skewed your view on Arnie. You really need to appreciate the quality we have and not focus on the (perceived) faults.

Arnie and Sidwell's contribution tonight most definetly are going un-noticed... Even so much so that the only reason SKY or the BBC mentioned Arnautovic at all in the pre-match report is because of his class assist... Sidwell didn't even make it even though he was all over the second half and still had a booking getting back infront of the back four. Workhorses today for me, not pretty but effective. Some even said Arnie didn't trackback at all... Ohh the Oatcake.

I can't upload the screenshot on my phone however Arnie was on the edge of the box (10 yards from the penalty spot) and Walters was just the other side of the penalty spot. We're getting pedantic now. Arnies performance was average at best. I think you along with others have stuck your neck out so far in your previous praise of him that you seemingly don't want to admit that maybe his end of season form was a flash in the pan. I admitted I was wrong reference him when he hit form in the last 3 months of last season. This season he has regressed and is only in the team because of the injury to Odemwingie and because Hughes has lost faith in Crouch. Should we sign another winger would he play alongside Moses or Arnie?

Our MOTM tonight in my opinion I'm flabbergasted. Better than Moses? Better than Ireland? Literally I cannot believe you think that. I cannot believe that anyone with eyes regardless of age or football knowledge would think he was the the stand out player. You're entitled to your views and you will disagree with mine no doubt but I've never been so amazed and shocked by a MOTM call. Moses was 10x more effective than Arnie!

Totally agree. Think he's better on the right in all honesty. Allows him to take on the full back and whip in a few crosses rather than cutting inside all the time. I agree,Arnie on the left whilst he can be great tends to be a bit predictable,on the right he can go either way which makes him harder to handle. ...the difference is, that he delivers more crosse to the middle. He can play both sides, but on the left wing he recently turned to often to the middle...on the right he can better fullfill his "winger obligations". He did that also in first half yesterday, when Moses and Walters were completely out of the game. Both had a marvellous second half.....good game, professional appearance from all the 15 guys who have played. Look at the results and the games in detail....from all PL Clubs we had the most powerful run-out in the FA Cup. With Arni on the right and Moses on the left wing we will have much fun and success in the next months. The comments from upthefud or the other user who blamed his attitude for the performance yesterday (which was good) are

Bardsley has his qualities but massive problems with the ball....if we´d have a right defender, who overlaps Arni sometimes we would have more power on the right side.

Ireland was good, Moses was also good but ran down too many blind alleys and tried to too much on his own at times. It was Arnies all round game, tracking back, strength, touch, only once can I remember him giving it away. It's all opinions mate, people appreciate different things I just thought Arnautovic had a very good game last night

I just think he was completely anonymous in the game, and to give him praise as a winger for putting in a simple square ball to an unmarked player is clutching at straws. The fact we have more people praising Arnie than Moses has deeply confused me
