Adama would be ideal, just what we need out on the right. Sandro, not so sure. Not really seen anything about him. A couple of things that are worrying me about this though. A) Dont we have somewhere else to look for young players? B) If sparky leaves we wont be able to plug holes in our team with barca kiddies C) We need to be signing players to have any sort of consistent success, not loans all the time. Hopefully this is a stop gap to the summer D) Our squad is still bloated and unsuited to sparkys style of play. A big summer ahead again. Who says they are loans? Latest loan signing, Wollscheid isn't a Barcelona product? It's also a good idea to have the chance to loan a player with an 'option to buy", especially in the January transfer window Mark Hughes has played / managed at a number of top clubs / for Wales, so has potential influence in many areas. As well as a few players in and out this window, we need to sign HIM up for a contract extension imo

but does he speak Spanish? Too busy scouting the young Spanish talent back then, by the looks of it. "It was also difficult for him to integrate in Spain because he never learned the language. My wife, Michelle, persuaded him to come along to Spanish lessons with us but after two or three times, he got fed up and packed it in. That is not meant as a slight. He was only 21 at the time and if I had been young and single, I would probably have done the same."www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2386983/Back-Hughes-in-any-language.html

I accept that i may be putting 2 and 2 together and making 5. I have been increasingly impressed with Sparky and his transfer negotiations. I just find it impossible to believe that he would fly out to Spain and back just to watch a football match that I am sure he could have watched on tv or obtained a video of. The timing of this just before an important game gives a feeling of the urgency to have a face to face meeting with a player or players. Equally I feel certain that this is not just a speculative conversation but a real prospect of reaching a conclusion, previous talks having taken place. Naturally there is no guarantee of the result but there must have been a high likelihood particularly when he allowed a high profile photo to reveal what he was doing. Events over the next few days may prove to be interesting. At least these days we appear to be shopping at Fortnum & Masons rather than Lidl. As I said I accept that I could be completely wrong, but it does seem odd.

Hughes admitted on Catalan radio. RAC1 that he would like to take several players on loan, but wants to make sure they are the ones pulling the strings, not the club. “It’s a question of speaking to all parties and validate the situations that they can give them. The transfer market is still open. We’ll have to see what the player’s vision is, which is the most important and if the player is convinced that he can really grow here. But I’m not quite ready to say that the window is closed. It wouldn’t be beneficial to a manager if his players had their heads somewhere else. He also said he was given the impression that Adama Traore was staying with Barca all season, but it was good to come over again to review the situation.

Not sure if it's a coincidence but there's a Pete Jenson on Twitter whose profile says BarcelonaMadrid and has 6500 followers.
Maybe the same dude?
