That'll do then. A loan until the end of the season doesn't make any sense to me. Taking a teenage lad (or two) out of another country and expecting them to fit straight in and improve the team (or even the squad) in a timescale of 3/4 months seems really hopeful.

It took Bojan 3 months to acclimatise and probably Muni even longer and they were older when they joined. 18 month loans would make much more sense.

IF he is not going to risk Bojan v Rochdale, maybe he should have taken him with him, to have a word in their ears about what a great club we are. I know you are getting on a bit staffs, but we do have the internet and mobile phones these days

@barcabstuff @fcbmasia Gumbau to Stoke confirmed Who's Gumbau? Could he play this season though as he has played for barca b and the first team .Wasn't there some problem with benarfa playing for two teams already this season Admittedly I don't fully understand how the registration works between the barca clubs and fifa

It's a far cry from shopping habitually on Weirside.
Great if we could get three or four Barca lads together - every reason for them to stay then, Hughesy ain't daft is he...

Just out of interest, to those who follow Spanish footie closely.
What happens if Barca II finish in a promotion position in the Segunda? Is it just ignored and goes to the next team down the table?

Doesn't really add much but these are the garbled google translated tweets of a Catalan journo who says he's interviewed Hughes Gerard Romero (RAC1 Radio) twitterHughes and C.! Stoke coach VOL take away this winter market Sandro Ramírez handed !! #LigaAdelanteHughes apart from Sandro also prompted possible transfer of Adama, we see that happening just #mercato
We spoke to Mark Hughes rest Espanyol listen to @ RAC1 #mercato
ACCOUNT! Hughes has come to see Sandro and Adama, now seems that the arrow is directed to go to Stoke x #mercato # Bárcabo
ALL have spoken! Hughes, Eusebio, Adama and Sandro will listen to the @ # RAC1 #mercato Bárcabo Eusebio does not close the door to any player out. The players not currently planned out, thankful x #mercatoHughes interest in Rac1: "I'm always looking for players, I have come to see a good match can be in the future we can do something, look at the time"
Hughes: "I like all the players, Bojan, Muniesa here in Barcelona ... The demand is very high, it is important to see the talents"

Maybe this is more of a look to a season long loan next season with sub appearences for the rest of this season. I like what Hughes is doing in the transfer market in this link with Barca because it means any of these younger players become available permanently we will be among the front runners.

In 2 summers he's taken Muniesa and Bojan from Barca B, both of whom were financial bargains, young, hungry, wanting to be at Stoke and likely to increase in value.
I will definitely give him benefit of the doubt, even if he came back with a 1 legged 35 year old
