God my memory is going.
What years did we offer the old Stoke End seats to both away and home supporters.
It must have been before they were put in the Butler Street corner seats.
I remember being in there against Wolves ,Man City and possibly derby and both supporters were mixed in.I know we beat Man City 1-0 and they seemed shocked we were there when we scored.
Im not sure whether us or them werent supposed to be in there or it was just season or two of mixed.
Possibly early to mid 1980s

It was dependant on the team we were playing and the size of their support. We were season ticket holders in the Stoke End stand from 90-96 and we were moved to the Butler Street for games against the likes of WBA, Wolves, Vale, Leeds, Man City, and I think once against Birmingham and Grimsby.
For all other games away fans had the Stoke End paddock and the seats in the corner of the Butler.
Prior to that, we put away fans in the Butler Street paddock for a few seasons mid-late eighties.

I think it was all down to demand, Kev.
Clubs with big followings had the lot, smaller clubs would have the paddock and butler corner.
I think the seats were used as a family stand back in the day. They used to give lots of tickets away down at Blurton lads and dads if I recall correctly, although it was always very sparsly populated.

Bizarrely Kev it was often no segregation
I had a season ticket in there ( obvious reasons ) 83-89 and it was sonetimes chaotic as we all sat together and downstairs was often mayhem mate

I also have memories of being in the Paddock, and Millwall fans jumping down from the tier above to get at us. I would guess that has to be early eighties also. |

Last match of the season against Wolves springs to mind and a game against Derby. The game against Wolves stands out for obvious reasons but the Derby game stands out cause I saw a bloke get smacked down a flight of stairs and had to put up with an old chap occasionally screeching 'Deeeeeeeeerby' and not much else. |

i used to get tickets off Howard Kendall and they were always restricted view seats, which meant directly behind the steel work, of course it didnt matter in those days you could sit anywhere you liked but in a sell out you wouldnt have seen a single kick off the ball, which granted wouldnt have been a bad thing the way we played sometimes  |
