Been bugging me for a while this .I remember going to the Leicester V Stoke zenith Cup or could have been Simod.
Buggered if i can remember what year it was .Just remember TJ and his lot coming in late and playing cards on the terrace.
Anyone go this game or remember it?

I was there. 1988 (I think?) 0-0 and we won on penalties. I think George Berry missed a penlty during the game and then scored the winning penalty in the shoot out although my memory is very hazy

It was early 1988 and I believe one of Lee Dixons last games for Stoke ( if memory serves me right). I think it was the Simod cup as we were knocked out by Luton, who had to let in away supporters for that fixture (again if memory..). Also notable as a rare win on penalties for the Potters.

On the Leicester bench was goalkeeper Paul cooper, known as the best penalty saver of his time. In the last minute of extra time they bought him on, only for him to let in all five penalties. It was also an 8pm kick off which meant that after extra time and pens it was well after midnight wen we got home. We then had to become members of Luton in order to get tickets for the next round which we lost four or five-one.

I went to that Luton game, the one where we got beat 4-1 and Phil heath scored?

Also their in that poor view away end under the two tier. A late night but when Cooper came on for the penalties I thought our chance had gone. The pitch was in poor condition.
