Five game ban is for on-pitch misbehaviour.
Off-pitch, they can do what they want.

Rio got 3 game ban, Balotelli got 1 game, Huth did nothing worse than either of them so to suggest a 5 game ban would seem harsh, but then again he plays for Stoke While he played for Man Utd, Rio Ferdinand made numerous outbursts on Twitter and the radio which any reasonable person would say were at least as offensive as Huth's. He wasn't banned. While he played for Chelsea, Ashley Cole aimed a foul-mouthed Twitter tirade directly at the FA. He wasn't banned.

Ashley Cole then shot a work experience student with it......and the FA did........ "England left-back Cole, 30, was 'larking about' with a .22 air rifle when he fired at the work experience student from five feet away" www.theguardian.com/football/2011/mar/11/no-charges-ashley-cole-air-rifle

I think this new rule that people are getting charged with has only existed for the last couple of years, so not sure the rule even existed in those instances.

The FA fined him but decided not to ban him because he apologised. I guess we'll see if an apology from Ashley Cole carries more weight than an apology from Robert Huth.

Has Huth been given 5 games yet, we're jumping the gun here.
Although, I told him to send that brown envelope full of cash, so perhaps they feel insulted by his lack of bribe? Lack of respect y'know?

I always wondered why the police didn't get involve in the instance of a footballer firing an air-rifle at an individual.

Nope. He's only be charged so far. I think somebody has go the wrong end of the stick off this thread for the '5 match' ban.

He's a professional. Inappropriate behaviour and he deserves to be charged. Do what you want in private but he made it public...Silly Do you work for the FA? Or is it just that you know FA?

The FA are the new nazi's of free speech. Fuck em' How a sporting body can fine a person for their twitter comments while people walk around holding "behead those who insult islam" signs all over the U.K. and nobody blinks an eye is what PC talk gets you. Fucking joke.

Cocks is a hamlet in cornwall. Surely what huth said nein cocks must have meant he has not visited that area.
