We have learnt that Huth's injury has made him a shadow of his former self, that Adam is not Bojan by any stretch. Diouf can only play with pace in the side.why Assaidi does not play Adam looks like he's ate Bojan. He was beyond diabolical today.

Players can't moan about playing 5 games in 13 days when they are earning 30k+ a week Lol, so your level of tiredness depends on how much you earn. No wonder we're a million miles behind other countries with this mentality.

Play Diouf into space instead of ponderously working the ball up the pitch at snail's pace and then giving it to his feet, utilising not a single obe of his good qualities.

To be fair they set up with 9 at the back and defended ace for 80 minutes, and we couldnt break them down at all - no movement up top (Diouf was poor)
Thought Arnie was decent but suffered from GCam and Bardsley having mares around him, and nothing in front of him
Butland was nervy Wilson and Huth were cack Shawcross was fine but struggling to be everywhere!
In midfield Adam was too deep (but worked hard), Sidwell not at the races
Assaidi I was frustrated by - the odd quick feet and burst but mainly a spectator - MoM my arse!
Thankfully Crouch, Walters and Ireland made a massive difference - more direct, ran at them, created space by pulling them around.

That we got through playing poorly and before we start slagging off some players, some have played 5 matches in 13 days? So fucking what ?? They get paid enough what a load of bollocks. What's being paid enough got to do with playing all them games in so many days. Hate that comment.

Miles better.

And I hate people using the number of games players have played as an excuse for poor performances. These are professional athletes, it's their job to play football. They work with some of the best sports science people in the world who control pretty much everything they do to ensure they're in the right condition to play matches. And yes, they're paid an obscene amount of money to do very little, so fans have every right to expect players to play every game over the festive period and perform to their capability.

You can expect the moon on stick but your a right dick if you think your going to get it. Too many games in to short a period does take its toll on all athletes, paying them an obscene amount of money doesn't change the capabilities of a human body. what a load of bollocks. Fair enough. 7 points out of 9 and safely into the next round of the cup. Whole team performed.

His delivery was fucking awful Assaidi looks to be direct and pacey. I saw plenty of balls put into the box that were decent. I just wish arnie would try the same instead of checking and passing back. Last time I saw him beat his man with pace and a trick was the goal he scored at villa last year.

There is always going to be an overreaction to a game against a conference side unless you absolutely dick them,it's just another blow off steam session for fans and just goes to show that your average football fan hasn't got the first fucking clue about the game they love

We learnt that Robert Huth is a pale shadow of his former self,we learnt that when Marc Wilson plays at left back we lose a hell of alot going forward,we learnt that Assiadi needs to go back and whoever gave him Man of the Match needs their glasses testing.

Arrogance and Attitude of players who think they are better than what they actually are.
You have to earn the right to play not turn up and stroll.

How a player can be expected to play 360 minutes in the space of 5 days I just don't know.
Don't know how they can manage it.

Yes I suppose a professional footballer managing to play a couple of games a week should be considered a miracle And you forgot to mention the sports scientists, nutritionists and aqua therapists.

Well todays game pretty much voids your theory as the players who've played every game over xmas were our better performers today. The issues today was mixed 1) We had tired players Cameron and Pieters didn't look there best 2) Diouf seemed to be intent on just not getting injured 3) Some were coming back from injury - Huth, Ireland 4) Some were short on game time - Assidi, Wilson 5) Arnie seemed to think it would be easy and didn't turn up 6) We made 7 changes a broke the rhythm of as successful team 7) They defended well in shape and we struggle to break that down Shawcross, Walters and crouch were the players with a lot of game time who did well, crouch and walters had the advantage of coming off the bench
