We need to give Peter Crouch a 2 year contact a.s.a.p. This. Was our 'pacy, stretch defences' other forward actually playing?I didn't see him until he went off and the fog wasn't that bad. Fuck me you're tiresome.

That we got through playing poorly and before we start slagging off some players, some have played 5 matches in 13 days? Spot on and the team arent used to playing together. For me we do need to freshen up and if that involves balancing the books then other than the obvious Palacios and maybe Wilko then Wilson and Adam need to be looked at so we can invest our money elsewhere.

Sell Adam and Wilson; Cameron should accept that his position is right back or transfer listed. Crouch does far more than just hold up the ball. Assaidi can't cross.
Ireland isn't as bad as I thought; Sidwell isn't a good as I thought.
Nzonzi runs the midfield: we rely more and more on Bojan. That I need to take back most of the abuse I have given to Walters, who is excellent as an impact sub.
Finally winning ugly still counts as a win.

You don't really want 2 slow defensive midfielders in your team at home Diouf needs a striker up with him . Ireland saved the day

I come on here to write a post, but i can't disagree with any of that.

Imagine the thought of an adam / Cameron midfield at the Emirates!

What did we learn today?
1) Some of our fans are still big girls blouses. The match day thread was full of cock juggling thundercunts today.
2) We got the job done despite not being at our best. That's 3 wins and a draw in the last 4 so we're on a decent run.
3) The forgotten man, Stephen Ireland, may still have a part to play for us this season. Hughes has a record of rewarding good performances so there's a chance he'll figure over coming weeks. Those goals will give him a massive confidence boost.
4) We're in the hat for the next round. Mission accomplished.

We have learnt that playing 4-5-1 at home against a conference side is retarded. That the Berlin wall has fallen and that Mame Diouf cannot lead a line.

I think the main lesson is that Diouf cannot play on his own. He's no more a loan striker than my Grandmother.
The dead one.

Huth needs a run of games to see if he can get back to the level he was at! He can't be judged on 1 game in 15 months!

For me how important NZonzi,Bojan and Walters have been this season. To many of our squad are inconsistent Assiaidi,Arnie,Beardsley,Ireland,Wilson .You just dont know what you are going to get. Add whelan to the important list

That if we are playing a defence who will sit deep (frequent nowadays) then Diouf must play wide or sit on the bench. That Assaidi isn't good enough.

We have learnt that Huth's injury has made him a shadow of his former self, that Adam is not Bojan by any stretch. Diouf can only play with pace in the side.why Assaidi does not play

That we need to play with pace and purpose from the first whistle, not turn up with the attitude that we can underestimate the opposition and expect to walk through the game and hope that something will happen.
