Why would Pardew go Palace? I'd love to see Tone given a chance at Castle. His old club. Dahhhhnnnn Landan. Less pressure.

Still think TP will be Leicester's manager when we turn up at the Crisp Bowl.

Rob Draper ?@draper_rob 6 mins6 minutes agoHearing Pardew + #cpfc pretty much agreed. Guess there could be odd glitch tmrw but seems it will happen. More on mailonline Not such a surprise. He's a big Palace lad and it's been pretty much common knowledge that Ashley wants rid. Don't blame him.

I would absolutely piss myself if TP turned up at WBA. Would love to see those seriously deluded Samba boys along with their local radio journo's defend their style of play then. Saved by the anti-christ. I thought they'd rather go down than have to watch a Pulis side every week. Go on TP. Boing your way to the baggies just for a laugh. It would be a pisser but I'm not sure if it would be the hypocrisy of the fans that would be the funniest or the face of Jeremy Peace when Tone informs him that he needs £20m a season in transfer kitty to weave his 'magic'!

Must be bollocks, we were pretty reliably informed he wouldn't get another Prem job. Funny old game.

I have family roots up that way and let me tell you it will make your hair curl as to why he was given such a long deal. It is not for repeating on a messageboard. I'll say no more.

I find it very odd that he is so sort after, when for years at Stoke he was vilified for his anti football and his negative tactics. Nobody would have thought it, surely? its normal that he will be sought after at this stage of the campaign coz for teams which are neck- deep in shit the only name of the game is staying up

As long as it's not Stoke I don't care. Well it won't be so you needn't worry. Bit of an unnecessary side-swipe at a man who didn't too badly last time around at our club if I may say so though

As long as it's not Stoke I don't care. TP could only dream of getting back to Stoke although Crewe would be a good match.

I think Stoke are about as far away from looking for a new manager as you could get so why would anybody be concerned by the idea of TP returning. Unless of course you had a slightly unnatural and twisted fascination with the man. Very strange.

Stoke are very pleased with their current manager and are not looking around at all. The story is that more than one Premier League club are interested though so given that I think it highly unlikely Mr. Pulis would be seduced by Crewe or even that it would be a good match.

It is a quite understandable sentiment that Dave is entitled to and makes quite a bit of sense to many. We couldn't afford his needs and who wants to return to that boring shite minimilistic excuse for football? Let someone....anyone else have him. If you enjoyed it all then fair play to you and you are right....he didn't do too badly but there again he hardly delivered the against the odds miracle the forever grateful element would have you believe. Stuff me. We have just had our most successful top flight twelve months on every measure since the 1970s and still some want to spend more time fidgeting about Pulis than discussing Mark Hughes.

Hmmm so I am to believe Pardew to Palarce then would Hughes be tempted to Newcastle , the draw of a 50,000 crowd and expected top 4 league position could turn the head of more than a few.
I hope not as although we are far from the finished product Hughes has taken GIANT steps towards it. However a few more coppers in the transfer fund might show a more serious intent at building a top ten side.
Pulis to Forest is my bet, now there is a challenge for him that I'm sure he would relish , ex European Champions returned to the prem would look good on any ones CV.

So it's ok to "fidget" about Pulis if you're going to make cheap jibes. But it's not ok to "fidget" if you want to offer some gratitude for a job largely well done. Ok. Cheers. It's great to have a mod pop in every now and again to clear things up.

But they arnt the only owners in the football league that have pumped millions into a club. Many owners h e done it and failed due to appointimg the wrong manager. Coates got a diamond in pulis.
