Yet another accident at j17 apparently. I left Burnley at 9.10, had a blow out on m62, changed the wheel and I've not reached Knutsford yet.

Highways Agency saying ten minute delay due to heavy traffic. They are often wrong though. Normal conditions from 1:30pm

Nightmare on the M6 South yesterday. Bloody awful again today from Jct 18 to 16.
But Stoke won, so the return trip north didn't seem so bad - although it was still very slow.
The M6 in Cheshire seems to be a constant problem.

Set off from Clitheroe at 11am arrived just after 2:30pm. Got off at Jtn22 followed A49/A50. Even had to pay to,park. Only 2 hour return journey but a win helped.

We arrived roughly 60 minutes into the game today travelling down from Cumbria. The M6 is beyond a joke at the moment, never known it as bad as it's been the last month or so. Fortunately we arrived just in time to see Diouf's second goal. A win always makes up for a shit journey down and 30 minutes of Stoke City is better than no Stoke City at all. Hope the motorway is better on New Year's Day !!

I blame cheap petrol, stick it back up to 1.50 a litre that will keep a few off the roads. Bloody Torys.

The M1 was a bastard both southbound this morning and northbound on the way home. Left East Yorkshire at 10.30 and arrived in Fenton at 2pm (normally a 2.5 hour journey) and didn't get home til 9.15 pm.
Still,a good day out and a pleasing win!

I'm retired now and my wife and considered a move to Audlem/Nantwich area earlier this year and made a couple of house searching visits. But in the end we were turned off by the traffic density (M6, A500 etc.) and have decided to stay in North Yorkshire. The A1M north of Wetherby is a doddle compared to the M6.
