I watched this and I love Top Gear but this was boring and I did not enjoy it one bit except for when James May fell off the horse.

Just watched the first of the new series. on for the next 10 weeks. Anyone else see it? Thoughts.
It again provided a bit of humour to my evening personally thought the lambo they tested was a lovely car but again at over 100k its just for the perm footballers.
A race in Russia that was quite entertaning. Gives me something to look forward to on a Sunday night for an hour so glad its back tbh.

I feel as though I've seen it before..... tiresome at times

It's so scripted its not funny or particularly watchable anymore. I gave up watching halfway through the last season and got bored after about 15 mins tonight.

I only watch the specials or record it so I can fast forward to the challenges. There is only so many times I can watch someone go around a track in a car I can't afford, so what bloody use is it me watching a car advertising show with cars I can't have

Top Gear has been shit for half-a-dozen years or so now. It used to be a show about cars that could be funny at times, whereas now it tries to be a comedy that has a few cars in it.

I don't see why they don't explore the idea of testing equipment used in vehicles such as Sat Navs , dash Cams and other technical equipment.
Perhaps investigate very high mileage vehicles from across the country to see what's done the most etc.
I've incidentally just bought 4 Dash Cams for each of my vehicles and I think they're a damned good idea especially if an accident occurs and is contested by the third party.
Could save you a lot of money and argument. Mine were about £ 40 each , so not that expensive.

The old Top Gear, with Quentin Willson et al, was like that but the Beeb realised that those kind of shows were redundant in the face of web-based review sites, many of which have video car or gadget reviews. If I want to check out a car review, I'll visit the Caybuyer, What Car or Parkers sites, not watch Top Gear. So this format is all about laddish light entertainment, which plays with fantasy cars and silly stunts. Top Gear is to serious car reviews what The Sun is to hard news; both are a pragmatic response to a changing media market.

As someone mentioned earlier, to get back to it's best Top Gear needs to get back to being a car show with some funny moments rather than a comedy show featuring cars. The comedy used to be natural compared to the staged scripted comedy they have now to try and make every show hilarious. By doing that they've inevitably ran out of ideas and it's becoming a strain to watch now as they try harder and harder to fit comedy into every episode. Reign back on it a bit and the show will naturally become more entertaining and naturally funny.

Anyone see last nights? Very funny once again. I for one will miss it. It won't be the same as it was those three and there personalities that made it really. I thought the end might of had a small apology from Jeremy maybe. Oh well end of an era.
