Cameron is our most consistent crosse of the ball. G-Cam and Pieters kept Baines and Coleman pegged back in their end for the majority of the match too. That's an, erm, big shout. His crossing is frequently terrible. Crossing is the major weakness of his game particularly when he plays full back

I actually hope you're right (barring Crouch back in). They've got the first clean sheet in months, they should keep their places. I rate Diouf less with each passing game. In all fairness to Diouf he has not had a long period playing as the main striker other than the first few games when he was new (ish) to the league. When ever I saw him play in Germany he played in a front two and was always on the defenders shoulder and it always seem to be a high defence so was awaiting a through ball with the grass in front of him to run into to get the best of his main attribute, pace. We play him as a lone striker and for the most part attack through the channels and especially at home when teams close ranks and defend deep we cannot take advantage of that pace. And it's not only Diouf that suffers in this league with that I can't think of many since Henry that have perfected it well perhaps Aguero or Costa but they have so much more to there game than Diouf does. Overall he has improved us and given us more options and I'd love us to sign a 15-20 goal a season striker but to get one I think we'd have to change our tactics completely you have to be world class in this league to get that many playing the lone striker role. Very strong game today and had one outstanding moment where Naismith was about to pull the trigger and his body swerve took him out of the game. Would it be petty to point out Mirallas being totally unmarked and missing a sitter at the end of the first half? Not petty no but I also believe that is no reason to drop him.

Agreed. When it came to goal mouth action though.... His touch is abominable and I can't quite believe how bad it is. Still think he'll make a decent contribution though. His pace was useful in our defending from the front and putting pressure on Everton, and keeping their defence honest as he would easily win any foot race for a ball over the top/down the channels against their centre backs. His touch remains poor and his snatching at chances smacks of desperation. He is lacking in confidence in front of goal, but his effort levels are admirable. Maybe a bit of warm weather and an international goal or two will do him good in January.

I wouldn't drop him but I don't see him as the answer at right back because of that tendency to lose his man.

Atleast we were sold that on here... Cameron. Bardsley has a tendency to get forward and then leave a big gap behind him. Geoff seems not to know where he's supposed to be even when he's back there. Neither is a great thing, obviously, but I prefer Bardo defensively and thing attacking wise there's nothing in it. That said, Geoff is playing better at the moment so should keep his place.

Terrific again today, but don't tell anyone It's no surprise to say his best games this season apart from Swansea have been at full back. Really looked good today and perhaps Hughes needs to give him some career advice.
