Excellent from 1 - 11 but I thought the back four were magnificent, I feel far more comfortable with Cameron at right back than Bardsley, I know it's been done to death but that back four we played today is the strongest we have and barring injuries/suspensions hope that's what we stick with.

I think Cameron is the more intelligent footballer, he doesn't charge forward like a bull on speed at every opputunity, he picks his runs better and takes up better positions

Totally agree Barnsley experiment ends here and he us now back up with hutch fit we have Bardsley huth and Wilson as back up
Sidwell in centre mid , Adam and for the whole
Assadi and armies for the wings when Moses is back
Might explain the forward and right mid speculation

Big result today. I thought Cameron was very good and I'd be surprised if Bardsley gets back in against WBA.
Whelan was also very impressive. Probably same team on Sunday. The only exception perhaps Crouch back for Diouf.

I want to agree with you but it's too easy to overlook Cameron's bad games.
Like i said on another thread the other day they are both much of a muchness with different strengths and weaknesses.
Horses for courses is the way forward i think.

Very strong game today and had one outstanding moment where Naismith was about to pull the trigger and his body swerve took him out of the game.
Would it be petty to point out Mirallas being totally unmarked and missing a sitter at the end of the first half?

He played well today. He's a more offensive RB than Bardsley and lended space on the break in the overlap. His best contribution was his interceptions and possession/ passing today. He had one tackle! He usually is in the top three for that. Mind you Marko had as many interceptions as Geoff shows how much Marko tracked back on Pieters side!

Horses for courses is the way forward i think. To be fair, Hughes does pick teams on merit and if Cameron does put in a couple of dodgy performances he won't worry about bringing Bardsley back. Cameron just seems more composed in that position and when we were under pressure second half kept it better and found a team mate whereas Bardsley tends to not to!

Still, im comparison to Chelsea......world class.....

Sadly, I do as well but I like to think half a season usually to get used to the league in his case it maybe a whole season. He just is over doing it and thinking way to much. The Bojan 2 on 1 today sums up Diouf's chances lately though. I want him to create his own chances instead of waiting to be slotted in. His workrate and pace was key today though.

Diouf's defensive shift was great today. It was, I think he'll be our PO motivator like the second half of the season last year. He's so due!

Diouf's defensive shift was great today. Agreed. When it came to goal mouth action though....

I rate Diouf less with each passing game. You've got no taste. Key to how we won today. If Crouch played instead of Diouf today and at Spurs, we wouldn't have won either game. He opens up so much more space with his pace and movement that allows the likes of Bojan and N'Zonzi to drive into, giving us a threat going forward and relieving the pressure at the back. He's not the clinical goal scorer I was expecting, but he's a really selfless player who fits Hughes' system away from home.

Who gives a shit. He was there to defend and he defended very well. Its his shirt to lose for me. As I said earlier in the week, its a position he might not like but if he wants to be a regular in our team, its a position he needs to start getting used to.

I think he can start at RB and in Midfield depending on the situation or the side we face in all honesty. He's had good games now at two different positions. Obviously he prefers one to the other but he's always an option for me at either. He's really important to the squad. BTW that was the most offensive showing from RB we've seen all season and he had a better possession and passing game than defensively due to Diouf and Bojan.

I thought he was pretty good today. The yellow for time wasting was downright stupid. The cross along the floor to mirallas caught our entire defence sleeping. Overall, i thought Cameron and The entire starting eleven played well when we didn't have the ball. Even bego's shaky first half was followed up with a great second.

Cameron is our most consistent crosse of the ball. G-Cam and Pieters kept Baines and Coleman pegged back in their end for the majority of the match too.

Proving yet again that he is a better right back than his replacement. Hughes either has to have a word with Cameron and tell him he is a right back or he has to sign someone else because Bardsley isn't as good as Cameron, never mind an upgrade on him.
