Terry is a complete cunt but he's played under 9 different managers for Chelsea. Every single one of them has made him captain, that says all you need to know about the player he is AVB didn't. Nor did Rafa Benitez! Sorry. To rephrase 9 managers Terry has played under have made him captain. Like I said, he's an utter cunt but you can't argue with his ability

I agree that he is a good player. A very good player in fact. I also agree that he is a complete and utter cunt.
Shawcross is as immense for us and as good a leader for us as he is for Chelsea and Shawcross wouldn't look out of place alongside him in a Chelsea side. In fact, if he partnered Terry regularly for Chelsea with Ivanovic and Azpelecueta either side of them and Matic in front of them, I doubt Chelsea would ever concede a goal!

As an England fan I am now disheartened about the current and future state of our national sport, although deep down I still want to see them succeed and any true Englishman would.
I don't like Terry but I'd say curently he deserves a starting place in the England line up.
As for Shawx I don't want to see him anywhere near that shambles of a team/squad for me currently not because he don't deserve it but because I'm fed up with the England set up etc.... but I understand his desire to play for his national team, I would want to represent my country also. He deserves to because he's a great centre back, captain and leader for us and he definitely deserves a shot at it. Slowly but surely the wider press and media are starting to recognise his qualities

I think that our last game against Chelsea was the first time that Terry has really impressed me in person. Obviously he didn't impress me as a person, because he's a horrible git, but he dealt with what little stuff we threw his way and really did talk a few of his team mates through the game. He gave Azpilicueta a pretty much non-stop barrage of instructions. One thing that he managed to do that Ryan hasn't yet picked up the knack of was that every single one of his defensive clearing headers in the penalty area went straight to a Chelsea player. Prior to that, my abiding image of John Terry was when I watched him come second best against Mama Sidibe and resort to lying on the floor, feigning an elbow. I therefore have held the impression for a while that he's not as good as is often made out.
He's also poison in a dressing room, having undermined multiple Chelsea managers and tried to lead a revolution at the 2010 World Cup because he wanted to drink beer - at which point he should have been sent home and informed that he would not be playing for England again. Ryan, by contrast, seems to be the model professional and has shown nothing but respect to the two managers he's worked under for us.
I don't know which of the two is the better defender, but Ryan's performances these season have been a cut above anything he has done before and I sorely hope we can keep hold of him for the remainder of his career.

I want England Footy for Ryan, and only because he wants it and deserves it. That feckless liar and cunt Hodgson doesn't deserve him.

I really hope he doesn't get a call up. His performances are like that of an absolute world beater. Why ruin that confidence by calling him up to that shower of shit?

He's a great player and deserves to be in a couple of 'nothing' England games to get used to it, before leading us to the Euros win in 2016. Stones and Chambers, don't make me fucking laugh. This is a man who has played hundreds of games, a leader of men (more than say Cahill is - although he's a good player), self-disciplined, works hard, plays on with a broken head...
Actually he wouldn't really fit in with the England setup.
Hodgson hates us, always has since our bwand of football dicked him when he was at Liverpool. He will be forced to pick him at some point, he's just working out how to do so while also making it as hard as possible for Shawcross.
