Was his tackle on hazard worth a red??

No. It's a straightforward yellow card for a late challenge. It's only a red on planet Wenger, where football is shit and tackling is banned.
80 years ago, if someone had made a tackle like that on Sir Stan, he would have managed to ride it, put a cross in and then Eddy Clamp would have dealt with the defender. Happier times...

I agree with Neville in that it looked worse than what it was, however in this day and age and with such a poor standard of refereeing in recent times I think he can count himself lucky to just be booked.

Was his tackle on hazard worth a red?? Yellow was the right decision, despite the Chelsea efforts to make more of it. An unnecessary tackle in my opinion, the ball looked like it was going out.

I don't think Bards has been the same player as he was before he got injured!

John Terry was doing his best to make it a red the prick. Just a bog standard yellow for a late tackle.

It wasn't a red, but it was plain stupidity. Got the fans going though.

Nah. It was a side footer. He was late, but he was never gonna injure Hazard, just put him on his arse. Dust him off, take the yellow and get on with it.
People saying its a straight red have lost sight of the physicality of the game. The Agbonlahor one at the weekend was a farce. If that's correct, every game would have a handful of red cards.

I think he could have easily seen red, certainly warranted a yellow, and a very stupid challenge.

The ball was out but it was a stupid challenge. Mind you the Chelsea player looked up after to see what was given then started to roll around. That is as scandalous as the challenge.

Bardsley is now the walking red in our side. He's taken the baton from Wilko for sure. Bolaise and Hazard. Tough tasks. His bad passing and losing possession near midfield gets him out of position and chasing leaving him to his own rash tackles and cards! He needs to slow down in possession. It's like a Wilko with a cross and cracking shot on him its uncanny.

Was a yellow but could easily have been a red, more to the point, why on earth give the ref that choice to make? why risk going against Hazard for most the game on a yellow?
The rest of the league already thinks we're violent thugs, so they decide to rough up Chelsea on Monday night tv?

Was his tackle on hazard worth a red?? Once again totally no need make that tackle because what I can remember of it he was going nowhere and I'm pretty sure the ball was on its way out, if not allready out. Far to many unnecessary tackles resulting in freekicks given to them and close to their own bloody area too.

In my opinion, if that was on a Stoke player, we'd be screaming blue murder and big team bias. He's gone in high, with no intention of playing the ball. Hazard has made a meal of it, but can you blame him?
It's a daft challenge and if he'd been shown a red I don't believe we could have had many complaints.

It was a yellow card for a late tackle. Hazard did well by 1) just keeping it in and 2) just nipping it away from Bards.
Bards was just undone for pace and skill, you see thiose tackles time and time again and in each case its a yellow.

I think if that had of been Terry on Bojan we would have been screaming blue murder, I thought the Ref did well but it could easily have been a Red. Bardsley really is becoming a the nob head the Makems told us he was. I would stick with the Shawcross/Muniesa axis and bring in Wilson to play at full back.

At this point, I can't say I'm convinced Bardsley is any better than we had. I've only ever seen him put a few decent tackles in. Pieters was fucking terrible last night also.

Interesting that following the tackle, where Hazard was rolling around potentially seriously injured, several Chelsea players ran over... and surrounded the ref wanting a red. Not one team mate for quite a while went to see how he was. Speaks volumes.

For me it's a booking.
Yes it was physical and probably unnecessary but it's no different from one Gary Neville did here on Matty and he stayed on the pitch that day.

He hd a poor game against very good player and it could have been a red. SJW struggled to help him out as Hazards pace left Bards one on one a few times and going forward Bardsleys passing was poor for him. Lucky to stay on.
