Listen, I'm sure you mean well, but your own points lack validity. Whilst yours was valid about a great team in Chelsea what you failed to mention was how average they were. Still, not to worry you obviously know your stuff. Carry on. I thought Chelsea were stunning tonight. A classic away display. No doubt in my mind they were helped by an early goal which allowed them to sit back, keep possession and try to pull us too far forward to give them space to counter attack. But they played that game to perfection. We, on the other hand, got caught in their trap. It reminded me of an England ODI run chase when they've lost a couple of early wickets. Retrench, don't make a bad situation worse. Then try and recover ground towards the end. Only problem with that approach is it rarely works against a team as good as Chelsea. The solution; don't lose early wickets or concede early goals!

He most certainly wasn't tonight. H He was utter fucking garbage. Dreadful wank. Really fucking bad. ..always harping on the same string....you should probably post your comments concerning Arni before a game...then your "work" is done.

We had no answer to them.
We couldn't bully them, we couldn't intimidate them (players and fans), we couldn't break them, we couldn't out pass them. We are/were in fact nowhere near them footballing wise.
Move on.

Do you mean Arnie? Seriously? Put a ball under no pressure out for a goal kick ? Very interested for 30 mins then fuck all after. Get him gone. I'd rather you were gone if I'm honest. H Wow. I'd rather you watched the game and gave an accurate account of events but looks like neither will happen.

Still, not to worry you obviously know your stuff. Carry on. They were average, but there's an old saying. The mark of Champions is winning when you aren't playing well. They ground out a result. They didn't need to play well, they needed to get 3 points. They scored early and then defended absolutely terrifically. One of the reasons I was surprised he persisted with the long throw was because John Terry was eating them for breakfast. They defended like the best team in the country and attacked like the best team in the country. They didn't need to play brilliant, they just needed to win the game... and that they did. On another day, we might have scored and forced them to move up a gear... which they would have, and still, probably would have beaten us. They're a level above us and as I said on the other thread, unless PC decides to invest his life savings, which he won't, we're unlikely to ever make that level.

Ok it's a good chelsea team but Cameron and Arnie are garbage never seen 2 players give the ball away as many times as these get rid Hughes Please. Our entire side and effort was garbage. Chelsea were stronger in all areas of the pitch but to say Stoke were garbage is over the top.

Maybe by virtue of the fact that Cameron doesn't get another look-in, with any luck. The throws weren't the only thing Terry ate for breakfast. He's regurgitating Crouch, as we speak, into an owl-like pellet.

He's a jack-of-all-trades and master of none. I thought he was poor last night when asked to actually impact the game; I'm not talking about nicking the ball here and there; actually achieving something, which he often fails to do. Crouch was poor also, but then always is against commanding CHs and I don't think he was the correct choice as the front man for last night. Walters was non-existent. Bardsley had a tough time vs Hazard, so I'll cut him some slack.

The opposition could have been Chelsea or Burnley and the outcome would have been the same. Arnautovic is a player that needs carrying and consistently drifts out of games for long periods. I don't know why people are so quick to defend him when he's so poor. He (eventually) finds himself in some decent positions, but will give the ball away. He tries to showboat and more often than not, it'll fall flat on it's arse.
I've said it since the first few months since we signed him. If he simplifies his game a bit, he'll be a better player for it.

IMO he was the least effective Stoke player on the pitch last night yet seems to be escaping the abuse that Arnie is getting.

Thought Arnie did ok and looked better than recent performances. Cameron was the weak link though. If he had played better then maybe Nzonzi could have kept closer to Bojan and linked play better instead of having to stay close to Geoff

I thought once again Arnie was awful, the quickest he moved all game was when he ran off the pitch. For me he's not good enough. Sayong that Walters and Crouch were pretty poor as well. The injuries to Odemwingie and Moses are killing us.

Walters has, however taken advantage of his opportunity to come into the team. I've yet to see that level of consistency or commitment from Arnie. Some of the 'abuse' in here seems pretty excessive, but to be honest I'm tired of him throwing his arms about and sulking when things don't come off for him. He is not and will never be the player that some (on the other end of the extreme) are expecting him to be.

I seriously cannot believe some of the absolute tripe that has been written on this thread.
There are opinions then there is absolute nonsense spouted in some crazy commitment to a ill thought out crusade.
"Chelsea were average". I have seriously heard it all now.
Shakes head in disbelief

He was a second half substitute against Burnley yet somehow managed to attract something like a 5 page thread of posters saying how wank he is. Arnie and Bojan are the two most naturally gifted players we've had at the club for years and posters have at different times called them shit, it really makes you want to cry at times.

Just how much time was lost at 1.0 down due to letting them stroll it out from the back thus not once pressing them?.

There is a great likelihood that if we pressed them as you suggest that they would have gone on to give us a right dicking due to the pace and ability they have throughout their team. Against teams who are clearly streets ahead of us we have to stay in the game for as long as possible and hope something falls for you. We did that to be fair and Adam came close to getting us a result.
