HT 0-0. I'm going watch the Indian Super league final during half time. Dave James is playing and Tendulkar is in the crowd.

Why have so many turned up in fancy dress, and come as sky blue seats?

Why have so many turned up in fancy dress, and come as sky blue seats? They're missing a few things. One is Aguero. Two is Kompany, and three's a crowd.

Michael Owen might talk some shite, but "Yaya Toure is playing in pitching wedges" as he put his umpteenth shot over the bar was very good.

How unusual for a bad refereeing decision to go in favour of a big team at home!
Really is time for a video ref as that goal could have changed the game

Tbf to the liner Zaha was right in front of him so the Man City player I think was easily missed. Saying that, the liner should be in line with the last defender......
Video refs would kill football imo.

Video refs would kill football imo. Agreed that he should be in line with last defender, right in front of him should mean he couldn't possibly miss him if he was paying attention; disagree completely about video ref as the game was stopped anyway and an incorrect decision could have been corrected. It works well in rugby and the entire crowd also sees the result. It could help the referee and stop a lot of big team at home favouritism. It will come as did goal line technology. It's purely down to opinions. I'm right though Happy Christmas

Video refs are a horrible idea for a multitude of reasons. We can be arguing about decisions for weeks on here, what makes people think a video ref will stop that? It will still favour the big teams, they create more and will have more decisions go against them imo.

Video refs will at least stop the blatant ones, having refereed I do understand how difficult it is to get split second decisions right. It should be at the referee's discretion as in rugby and used sparingly, wouldn't take more time than all the crowding of refs takes.

The simpler answer that we might agree on is to go back to the older version of the offside rule, pre 1996 ish, where level was offside and there had to be two in front, when in the opponents half, regardless of where you were on the pitch. A trial would be the best answer to see how obtrusive a video ref is.

There's nothing wrong with football in this sense.

There's nothing wrong with football in this sense. Cannot accept that an opponent in the 6 yard box, in an offside position, isn't interfering with play even if he doesn't touch the ball. Once you leave it open to a subjective judgement it becomes a problem. The more rules that are objective the better.

Walters was offside in the 6 yard box for the Bojan 4th goal against Arsenal and I don't think he was interfering.....fuck knows what he was doing but he wasn't.

The goalkeeper must have some regard for a player in the 6 yard box, which to me is interfering. Diouf was onside. Anyway it would be boring if we all agreed.

But Walters was inside the 6 yard area, so by your rules it should have been disallowed....
