Arsenal vs Hull.

Arsenal vs Hull. Everton vs West Ham. See that they've caught the true spirit of the Cup. to be fair they have which is why they've been showing first and second round matches for the last couple of months. not as if they haven't already been giving airtime to the non-leaguers out there..they don't have to do it every single time though do they when BT sport are also there to show them?

Sick of seeing them on the box, pick some other team for a refreshing change ffs!! big Premiership club against a team basically propping up the rest of all the football league? can't really see the issue, a lot of neutrals will tune into it. do you think that Stoke Wrexham or West Brom Gateshead would pull in higher viewing figures? somehow i think not!

Not my point at all, Stoke not been on is not an issue for me, what is an issue is the coverage that Liverpool get. Only twice this season have they not been live on tv in all competitions, is that fair?, may even be once thinking about it because against us they were on Setanta. Saturation or what.

Saturation or what. but this is the FA Cup. the BBC don't televise Prem games etc. so them being shown on the BBC in the Cup has nothing to do with how often they've been shown in the league at all. when the BBC decide which games to show they're not thinking "Well, how often have this team already been shown by BT Sports and Sky in the Prem?" they're thinking about which games the average neutral will want to watch in order to get good viewing figures and make sure they're putting on a game that people will want to watch. looking at the draw i really don't think they've done anything wrong at all with picking this fixture.

The Wimbledon v Liverpool game is a repeat of probably the most famous FA Cup Final of modern times where the wombles of Wimbledon unseated what was at the time European football's biggest and most successful institution so lots of old footage of that occasion to dig out and mull over and interviews with the key protagonists from that famous day etc. If you wanted to know if that one would be on TV or or not then all you had to do was touch your right wrist with your left hand and if you feel a pulse then it's on

We were televised vs Citeh the season after our cup final. So Arse vs Hull fair enough I suppose.
But WTF does Everton vs West Ham offer the neutrals?

So that's your theory blown out the water ha!

But WTF does Everton vs West Ham offer the neutrals? an all Prem tie? theonly other ones involve clubs at the foot of the table so won't interest many people. here you have a biggish club (everton) against a big club (in terms of support base) where one is currently 4th in the table and the other will probably be in the top 6/7 by the end of the season i know that people will go out of their way to slag off the BBC but surely, some of the these types of questions being asked have fairly obvious answers really don't they?

The last FA Cup game involving Man Utd not to be live on TV was their 0-0 home draw with Exeter on Saturday 8th January 2005.

If the Shit had a walkover, the TV cameras would still turn up. biggest fanbase in the UK...would make sense really why do people seem to think that when footy is on TV it should be about sharing it around so everyone gets shown at some point? it's TV, it's about ratings and what the average fan would be interested in watching full stop.those that want to watch their own side won't watch what's on TV anyway, they'll either go to the game or stream it anyway

Sunderland at home to Leeds in a reprise of the 1973 giant-killing final, but this time the roles are reversed. I have no defence other than to say IMHO the TV companies have missed a trick with this one.
