If he's the future the DNA programme should be consigned to the bin.

That first goal; laugh out loud. Ryan hasn't done that in 302 Stoke City appearances.
If that's what passes as "international class", Ryan's better off out of it.

Today, we saw two players who Roy Hodgson thinks are capable of making up 50% of an international defence. Chambers was appalling - how many bookings has he picked up now compared to 'dirty' Shawcross? It really makes a mockery of the rubbish about Ryan not being able to play for England because of all the bookings he'd get. As for Gibbs, he was just torn apart by Walters. He looked no better than Cresswell of West Ham, or the hundreds of dross mediocre full backs that we've seen at Stoke in our journey through the divisions.
It could almost make you weep for the national team. What's going on. Are we all stupid? Is there something obvious we're missing?

Mystifying.
Obviously a few very influential people like him - and that's seemingly all it takes to get a bit of a bandwagon behind you, especially when you're at a club like Arsenal, even if they're a total Emperors New Clothes laughing stock defensively
And then the journos, sheep-like start parroting it so as not to be the one to go against the conventional wisdom. He's the next big thing simply because enough people with a megaphone say he is - and that becomes that!
He's obviously raw, but he makes the kind of deer-in-headlights mistakes Shawcross worked out of his game 6 years ago. And yet one is the sexy future of the national team, and one's a limited thug.
Funny old world. But that's how life works.

Ryan has four yellow cards this season; one of them for tying his bootlaces up.
He's played at Anfield, Old Trafford and come up against the likes of Sanchez, Wellbeck, Chamberlain and Cazorlala in the past eight days and picked up one booking (and that was because Geoff Cameron was shit).
He's an absolute colossus. Anyone who thinks he not good enough to play for England is a cock.

Ryan Shawcross would have been captain of England for the last 2 years had we a manager worthy of running our national team.

If I was as old and tired as Hodgson and on £ 6 million a year .....I wouldn't want to leave Hampshire and Dorset to view Northern maniacs either....
Common sense....sports editors pick the team .
You all should know this by now.

Chambers has secured his place in the next England squad on that performance. When asked about Shawcross, Hodgson said "who?"

The only reason Chambers gets into the England Squad is because Roy Hodgson is a liar.An owl faced incompetent hypocritical feckless cunt of one too! No other reason.

In the space of a year, he's gone from 2nd choice Southampton right back to first choice Arsenal centre back and England regular.. something is not right here.

For al of his faults, Harry would have taken a look at players from every club and possible Crouch international career would have lasted just a little longer and the likes of Shawcross would have been given another chance after his one appearance. Will Roys visit to the Britannia yesterday make any difference?
