This lad really cares and wants to give his all for Stoke
As it happens he isn't half a decent player too who gives 100% every week
He deserves our support and definitely not and criticism

He struggled today but not his position of course. He's here to score goals and by May I'm sure we will be happy.

He cut a very frustrated figure when he came off but he really does try his bollocks off.

He works hard so not going to knock the lad, BUT how is he the highest paid player at our club? To think hes gets 60 grand a week is a bit scandalous

He is a valuable player to a club like Stoke! Please don't create another scapecoat!

He will score goals, so unlucky not to have at least 2 in the last 3 games.

Tremendous work rate. But the touch of a elephant and the vision of Steve wonder. Don't know if anyone noticed him and nzonzi having a few words 2nd half, pieters had to get involved to calm it down.

I think he is really getting to understand what the Prem is about and what he needs to do. I'm sure he will continue to develop and when he grows more assured and starts to find more confidence he will find "more time" and start to score goals regularly.

Worked hard out of position and was unlucky to give away a penalty.

I really think Bojan should have played him clean through in the middle of the second half, but instead decided to turn and play the ball backwards! Probably the only time during the game I couldn't agree with Bojan's decision!

He will go on a scoring run soon that will shut his detractors up for good.

Some of his runs off the ball are top, top class. Even Bojan was guilty of missing his runs today.
He's a real asset, works his bollocks off and given the problems we've got with injuries he's indispensable.

It may not be until next season but, he will prove alot of you wrong. Let him find his Premier League feet and he will come good. He never hides, a sign of a player with self belief.

I defended him on here early doors, but have to admit I'm still not entirely convinced. His touch isn't good enough.
Not complaining too much though because he was a freebie. Plenty of pace, commitment to the cause, decent enough in the air. He will bag a few goals. I will always get behind a player who puts in a shift and Diouf always does that.
Long-term though, I think we may need to spend a few bob on a top centre forward. Someone who can hold the ball like Crouch, but run like Diouf.

Didn't work last time he played in the Prem and I haven't seen anything to say he'll score enough goals this time around.

Not sure with Austin though. Whether he is the real deal or just on a winning streak at the moment?

He is far smarter than he's getting credit for.
He's been getting these chances through good anticipation, awareness and sharpness. All right his shooting is scattergun, but sometimes they will go in, and by the law of averages he will end up with a decent total at the end of the season.
I thought he contributed loads today with his overall play, harassing and stretching their back line and helping us keep that fast tempo that destroyed them in the first half.
And above all he is exactly the kind of wholehearted player I love playing for Stoke. Compare his approach to that of Giroud today.
