and we are struggling still is there any scenario in which the board would consider a return for the capped one? I don't want this to turn into the usual slanging match either, just a question i was asked at work yesterday by a few Derby fans. I said it just wouldn't happen but does everyone else feel the same?

He'll be gainfully employed at Hull or Leicester by then.

Don't get me wrong I'm as frustrated as anyone with this season which is getting away from us, but I wouldn't want anyone other than Hughes. He did brilliantly last season and with a bit of luck and some tweaking we'll be good. He is the right man and we now have some great players although they're not all in form or fit. How quickly some fans become depressed. The recent defeats at Liverpool and Man Utd would have been considered good results under Pulis! Sent from my GT-I8190N using proboards

No - They'll keep faith with Hughes and rightly so.

Pulis did a wonderful thing for this City, and Stoke on Trent. But his time has passed and i wish him well.
Things look tough at the minute, but i have absolute faith in the management team that we will put things right. I hope everyone else feels the same.

If we are struggling at the end of January I'm hoping that far from getting rid, PC will back his man financially.
He's not had much of that since his arrival and it's the least he deserves after last season.
Thankfully I'm as sure as I can be that Peter Coates will keep calm and put his faith in a man we know is more than capable.
The run of injuries has been truly horrendous, we've had a few players under performing and a real big slice of bad luck.
Now I'm not a believer in luck as such as I reckon you make your own so it's up to MH and the players to show us what we all know they are capable of producing.

I'm fairly sure it won't come to that but it would be desperately unfair not to allow Hughes to sort things out and it's not Coates MO at all. He has always been too loyal to his managers than trigger happy.

I don't think the Coates family works like that. Pulis went at an appropriate time in the season which caused the least disruption. Don't think that the situation will arise but if it does then can't see any change until the end of the season.

Pulls wouldn't come back to stoke... To be fair it could tarnish his legacy he left when he went. He was respectful in the way he left and the point of the season he left also..
Us stokies will be forever greatfull for what he achieved but the time to evolve is now under Hughes. Yes we get a lil frustrated at the run of results lately but we actually playing football now, yes lack of goals is an issue but we do have options now at least better than playing Walters week in week out with no hope of goals. Nzonzi seems to be flourishing this season along with bojan but there's a few in the squad that just sent cutting it at mo, likes on arnie,assaidi,Wilson.. Hopefully they will improve sooner than later..
Can't see big spending in January either as the squad is big so don't be expecting big signings. We won't b in trouble Leicester, burley qpr are 10x worse position than us..
So stick with it guys, we need the atmosphere back at the Brit n get behind the team..

Pulis and Stoke parted company at the right time and the appointment of Hughes has been a success overall so far and I hope he stays with us for the considerable future. I would however though love to see Tony Pulis back at Stoke again one day, the man is an utter legend as far as I'm concerned and I'll always be grateful for the amazing memories he has given me as a Stoke City fan. And before anyone informs me that a lot of other managers could've achieved what Pulis achieved with us, I couldn't really care less, the fact is it was Pulis and the history books will always show him as one of the greatest managers in our clubs history.

WTF would Pulis do with Bojan, Arnie, Muniesa and Assaidi? He wouldn't have the foggiest
He'd like Diouf I bet.
