Goodfellow had lighting pace, skill & a good shot on him. And yet was a terrible player. Goes to show how important decision making is in football.

Goes to show how important decision making is in football. was rated as a top prospect at 17/18 remeber a premier league club making an enquiry for him, that's why I always get concerned about highly touted youngsters, see Ollie Shenton for example. was his debut goal v Barnsley

He is a Fridge engineer. I seen his van the other day, it had Mark Goodfellow, refridgeration engineer wrote on the side. Couldn't help think that he'd missed a trick there.

Didn't realise he'd gone to Basford, that's 9th tier. Saw him a couple of seasons ago playing for Gresley in Evo-Stik
Basford are the big spenders of that league. Saw them earlier this season with Lee Hendrie.

Played a season for Barrow when they were in the conference. Shame - as lordb says he had pace, a superb shot but not the full skill set to make a footballer. remember the two he scored in the friendly against Man U at the Brit? One was off the back of Barthez's head!

I saw him play for Barrow a few times and he rarely managed to break into their team, he can't have started much more than 10 league games for them and he was there for at least 18 months.

Every move he made was to a club in a lower league. When he went to Bristol C I caught one of their live tv games and he was man of the match by a mile. Strange how some peoples careers wither and die while some less talented go on to have long careers at the top (relatively )

Shawcross scored on his debut I think. Cardiff away in august 07. Best remembered for Simonsens great double save from a penalty

If it did say MARK Goodfellow, I don't think it's our MG - I'm sure his name is spelt MARC Goodfellow; unless, now I see, you're joking because his nickname was freezer?

We won 2-1 and I recall Curbishley moaning about refereeing decisions on the night - I remember thinking "but you did the Premiership thing of turning up with only 2/3 first team regulars, devaluing the game and insulting us, so you deserved nothing" Basford ( I presume that's in Stoke ? I ask becasue there is a Basford in Nottingham ) is his 16th club, says something about him

According to Wikipedea Basford is the 4th club he's been at this year. After spells at Kings Lynn Town, Worksop Town and Mikleover Sports. When will he get the message his career has crashed and burned? Surprised to see what a goal machine he was at Gresley tho. 27 goals in 66 games.

Didnt Kenwyne Jones score on his debut away at Millwall?
