Grapefruit juice rain, could reduce the shopping bill a bit and the central heating could be turned down a little too =)
Still wouldn't warm ma ladys feet though that are shortly to make their appearance on my side of the bed as they seem to do every winter =)
Seriously though can this sort of power be harnessed by the energy companies as those wind farms have been a bigger flop than my dick =)

Great link that, enjoyed the slow motion footage of the lava flow.
Riv......I think you are misinformed about wind farms as they are certainly not a "flop". Or were you using this as a reason to sneakily brag about your nob?

I was in the excel in London this week, there was a 3 day exhibition on Geology, Iain Stewart was speaking, pity I was in an exhibition further down the building, I always think if I could go back I would have taken a different path and gone into something like geology and volcanology

I remember the three main types of basalt lava flows from my geology A level 30 yrs ago. Pillow, Pahoehoe and Aa for those that are interested. Pahoehoe = slow, ropey type. Aa = fast moving, rougher looking type.

The yellowstone caldera is the one we should be shitting ourselves about its something like 60,000 years overdue for an eruption (although that's fuck all in geological time). Would be a global event if it happened.

Would be a global event if it happened. It would wipe out the human race....but the $64000 question is how long would it take >? Would the Doomsday Prepers survive long enough to open their last can of beans.? Just imagine how many sordid underground orgies will go on underground >? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.... And I am unanimous. mumf
