I used to enjoy the International breaks mostly when we were in the 1st division or in the championship, but since weve been in the premier league they really piss me off. Just as we are hitting some kind of form we now have to put it to one side and endure friendlies and internationals. On a positive I suppose it allows for injuries to be sorted but thats the only positive I can think of.

I pisses me right off especially since England are pretty dire to watch at the moment however like you've said its a potential blessing in disguise as it gives us a chance to get our injuries sorted.
The form is the one I'm more concerned about but at least we went into the break on the back of a win so we aren't sweating over a loss through the break.

Just as we get a decent result as well.
Oh well lets switch to the media jizz-fest over Rooney, Wilshere, Sterling and co.

I used to enjoy the International breaks mostly when we were in the 1st division or in the championship, but since weve been in the premier league they really piss me off. Actually the penny has finally dropped for me reading this.. For the last few years I've been trying to work out why I have so little enthusiasm for watching the international friendlies, especially as I watched around 90% of all the world's cup games even the Shit ones didn't dampen my enthusiasm. I think it's very much to do with them effectively ruining the Saturday match day experience. In the lower divisions you can get up go to the stoke game have a few beers and a few laughs and then head home grab a bite to eat and then head to the pub or get a takeaway and watch the international game. These days I wake up realise it's an international week and immediately blame the friendly international calendar for ruining my Saturday and end up either finding something else to do or working. Is definitely being in the prem which has caused my apathy at the internationals and I've never looked at it like that before...

hopefully it will give our injured players more time recover
More likely the uninjured ones will get injured on international duty
Still at least Ryan is safe

I really hope Arnie has a good game for Austria. Hopefully he'll come back with a bit of confidence and can work his way back in the team.
