I haven't been his biggest fan (especially after Hull and QPR away) and was surprised to see him keep his place in the team, despite playing alright against West Ham. Today, he was excellent, stifling Spurs in the middle of the park, reading everything they were trying to pull off, protected a patched up back 4 expertly and played some decent balls to boot. Well played Sidders lad!

Players need game time to get to anywhwere near their best, why do some fans struggle to understand this?

Yep, second that - he was in their faces and didn't give 'em any time to settle.
Well done Steve...

Looks like he's getting to grips with the team now and has such a bigger goal threat than Glen, a capable replacement.

It's hard to argue with bojan, nzonzi, and sidwell being our best midfield after the last two matches. It will be interesting to see what happens when Glenn gets back.

I thought him and Nzonzi bossed midfield and gave the ball to the front four to shine.

I thought he was poor previously but looked good today. Aggressive and much sharper. I don't think the opposition were up to much but delighted we didn't throw this one away

He did very well today. Most players need a few games to settle and to adapt to the style of play, and it mayhap looks as if he's just about to find his feet in a good team. Keep up the good work!

I was chuffed we signed him so I'm glad he has been given a run now to show how good he can be for us.

I'll give the stat again as the second best midfielder for interceptions last season ahead of gerrard and co.
hughes praising him up in this weekend's sentinel saying he's getter better by the day I training and settled in now.

A Good steady experienced midfielder and no rush for Glen to get fit just get him 100% right.

Think the more games he gets the better he'll perform for us. Good solid signing

Was very happy with the signing of him anyway..Anyone who paid even the smallest amount of attention to premier league football in general knew we were getting a good solid player

Reminds me a bit of Nicky Butt, but not just physically... Sweet footballer, now we've got him and Bojan we can trade Ireland in at Xmas.
