35 today. Absolute legend. This picture sums up he was loved as much by his team mates as he was the fans. There was magic in those boots.

There was particular magic in them when he wore the Diadora books with either the luminous green or orange stripe! We met a family on holiday whose 9 year old has been signed by Charlton's academy. One rule they have is that their youngsters can only wear BLACK boots. Well done Charlton Athletic and Happy Birthday Sir Ricardo Fuller.

35 today. Absolute legend. This picture sums up he was loved as much by his team mates as he was the fans. There was magic in those boots. The Daily Mail will be all over that picture for their Grapple in the Box campaign. If you look closely you can see Shawcross has one hand on Deano's forehead, another across Ric's head, another on Ric's tummy and another one (which he callously blacked up) across Ric's chest. And this photo is released just 72 hours after Mark Bowen said Shawcross won't even be man-marking at corners any more.

I'm 44 years old and have been watching Stoke week in, week out since I was 14 (my first season ticket was for the holocaust season!) RF10 was the most exciting, entertaining player I've ever seen and some of his goals will live with me till the day I die. Happy Birthday Ricky, the No. 10 shirt doesn't seem the same without you in it

Words can't describe the high regard I have for this man.
Ricardo was quite simply a joy to watch and made life watching Stoke a completely different entity whenever he wore the red and white.
Happy birthday to the great man.

Ric was brilliant for us. He bridged us from Championship to Premier League and excelled in both. Top man

Happy birthday Ric. The best finisher I've ever seen to grace a Stoke shirt........and a true loon How old are you? Steino was the best finisher I have ever seen in a Stoke shirt (I am 49). I think Ric was a fantastic player and was under used in his last two years here..and let go too soon. He has been the only player I can recall since Chambo who has had me on the edge of my seat whenever he got the ball. I think he is a legend because he will still be talked about with affection and a tear in the eye 30 years from now. A fantastic player and I feel extremely privileged and proud to have seen him create his magic whilst wearing the Stoke shirt.
