I would presume (no offence intended if I'm wrong) that you've not seen too much of Cresswell and Jenkinson for us? They are almost doubling up as wingers, with Downing going as good as where he likes. Watched Cresswell play for Ipswich Town on t.v. and he looked good playing in the same role, as he does now, for W.H.U.. Rumour had it that TP wanted Jenkinson on loan a couple of seasons ago but Arsenal doing Stoke a favour is about as likely as a Martian spacecraft landing at 'The Emirates'? Sentinel confirmed our interest in loaning him.

damn! If that's true, and Huth is out, we might get to see teixiera make the bench. Tex is injured. 8 weeks i heard. Not true. Hope he gets a chance finally, he was bit rusty during the first leg of u21 playoffs against italy (god knows why;), but was superb in the second game in italy. Hope he gets to show us all finally what kind of a gem stoke city got for a bargain;)

I'd be happy with this or: Begovic Pieters Wilson Shawcross Muniesa Moses Cameron Adam Arnautovic Diouf Bojan Put Muni in the middle, with Wilson Rb and Pieters at left back and I'd be happy with that, but I don't think Hughes will be that stupid/risky and will chose the easier option and just stick Cameron Rb and Sidwell in the middle. Not keen on Cameron returning to full back. He'll become the scapegoat for everything we do wrong... again. Been Wilson for the last few months. I think Cameron is looking sharper by the game in midfield, this will knock him off his stride.

Neither am i as he is bloody woeful and obviously targeted by the oppo for that reason, personally I'd prefer Wilko but as thats not going to happen I'm not sure a left back is the answer and I don't trust Muni at LB, as I say, I'd prefer Wilson at RB and Muni in the middle, but Hughes has already said its going to be Cameron unfortunately. I think Cameron has gone down hill in the last couple of games, which is a shame because he showed he could do it when he came on against Swansea, if he finds a bit of discipline he would go half the way to sorting himself out.

Stick with the 4 4 2 shape that did well in the 2nd half. Begovic Cameron Shawcross Wilson Muniesa Moses Nzonzi Adam Assaidi Diouf Walters I like that formation. It gives Diouf some support and carries a threat with the wingers. I also think that the key is putting them on the back foot from the start. We showed in the second half on Wednesday that we can get at teams with a direct, high tempo approach. Your formation has the players who can achieve this.

Correct me if I am wrong but a win tomorrow puts us 2 whole points behind West Ham who apparently have had a superb start to the season and are being touted for Europe. We on the other hand look doomed if you listen to some. Its friggin West Ham at the Brit not Real Madrid, fine margins people, we had a bad week results wise, poor starts but good finishes to both games, in fact at 2-2 I could only see one winner until Crouch had a blonde moment. Persevere with Bojan and Diouf and goals will come. Steak and chips tomorrow evening

Outside of the 6 or so super-sized clubs its fine margins. That's why our poor start to the season given such a benign fixture list so far is storing up trouble for us. I fancy we will be flirting with the relegation places just after xmas but pull away from there as the fixture list eases up again.

Bego Cameron Ryan Wilson (by default) Pieters Walters N'zonzi Adam Moses Bojan Diouf Slightly more 442 with Bojan dropping deeper to collect the ball. Our ex-Barca forward's inclusion may come as a surprise to many but we saw enough glimpses to see that he needs to play. He can pick a pass and has the talent but his confidence is on the deck right now but the only way to rectify it is by playing through it. Jon gets the nod as he probably deserves it after his effort last night where for the majority of the game he was our best player. i concur think its far too early to write bojan off[some posters were writing arnie off this time last year only for him to have a stormimg 2nd half to the season]speaking of arnie i would defiantly give him the last 30 mins. i wouldnt be surprised to see mh surprise us once again but hes the manager and has to make difficult choices, whatever team he plays i will be behind them 100% we did the double over the hammers last season, a repeat would be more than welcome

West Ham have had a decent start but I still think we have a far better side on paper and will finish above them come the end of the season.Hopefully we will kick in this afternoon. Stoke 3:1 West Ham GGGOOOAAARRRNNN STOKE.

Wii be a tough game today but we shouldn't show them too much respect. Up and at them from the start with the crowd getting right behind us. I just hope the likes of Arnies and Bojan can start showing some form soon, With injuries and suspensions we've had some rotten luck but we still have a lot of quality. I just hope we can have a decent ref who is fair re dishing out the cards and the 50/50s. I still have no idea what formation and selection MH will be going with today. If he's like me I'm sure he'll be unsure. They've got a lot of pace now so I'd definately have someone sitting in front of the back 4

Dear oh dear chaps look at the evidence points are decided on fine margins we need to face it we are coming up short on a regular basis and in a very favourable fixture list .
Losing regularly by fine margins is a habit . Losing at home even worse .
We are already in a mess and the next 10 fixtures are likely to see us well short of 20 at the critical half way stage .

We do peddle some utter crap and dress it up as fact. When has a fixture list in the so called best league in the world ever been benign? Our first 5 home games of last season were Crystal Palace, Man C,Norwich, WBA and Southampton, of which we won 1 D3 and L 1, scoring the grand total of 3 goals. That looked pretty benign to me, but hey ho, we have a return visit from last year's "We are all doomed" brigade, despite the fact that we have the same points from one less home game. Facts eh?

Because each season expectations are slightly higher so if we don't do slightly better that is seen as 'Failure'. The facts though, as you rightly say, are that we are slightly better this season ( so far) than last.

Today's game is a must win game as teams below us are picking up points. Don't want us to be in the relegation zone for Christmas.
