Wasted chances and having a player that doesn't know how to play rb is what cost us mainly today, Walters was absolutely amazing though, plenty of positives, looks like we've found our new set up. I was wondering when you'd turn up. Pity metal head doesn't seem to be on.

It was ill timed. I get on well with most on here and quite like coming on here, and do try to word my posts carefully fully aware that I'm a visitor, but I will say that some of your mob are not the cleanest of players either. It didn't connect, and rightly no foul was given. Your managers comments are standard comments coming from a manager who knows he should have won the game but threw away a two goal lead, and is trying to deflect that away from his failure to see the game out by blaming the ref. I admit, we should have lost that game, and you were the better side but we didn't draw because of Song's challenge, we drew because your manager didn't have the nouse to close the game out, and our quality shone through at the end. It wasn't ill timed. It was a filthy tackle using excessive force. It doesn't matter whether it connects or not. It was directed towards an opposing player causing him to jump out of the way. It was a red card regardless of whether it connected or not. There is no place in the game for tackles like that. Absolutely no need at all. Red card? Never. We will have to agree to disagree on this one. I gave you some credit, what more do you fucking want?

Fair comments from you essex, but would you say that Song was 'in control' even though there may have been no intent to injure with his challenge? Good job Diouf got out of the way in my view, or we could have been having a totally different conversation tonight.

It was clumsy and ill timed, but after watching the replays I do feel he tried to pull out of it. However, you have hit the nail on the head with the words no intent. If I felt he had intended to go smashing in to Diouff then yes, I would agree with you and your learned colleague that yes, he should have seen red regardless of if there was contact made or not. I don't think there was any intent, and that's not through claret and blue specs.

I don't think he did. It was reckless, he had lost possession and he was out of control my opinion for what its worth. A few seasons ago Huth (yes I know no angel either ) slid a long way in the deep snow(!) and took a Sunderland player out (forget his name) and was red carded much to the joy of the Sunderland boys who went on to win the game. There was no intent as far as I could see from the replays, but he seemed to have lost control as a result of the crazy playing conditions and he definitely tried to pull out if memory serves me right. With yesterday's incident at the very least the ref should have stopped play at that point and awarded a free kick to our boys. It was a foul and the only reason Diouf is walking today is the fact that with decent reactions he was able to leap out of harms way. I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one as you say. Song is definitely a really decent footballer but no angel and we have had previous with him at the Brit when he was with Arsenil. Good luck for the rest of the season (except for when we come to your place of course )

The simple option to the Song incident would have been to give a foul, give a yellow card, and clearly the Hammers would not then have scored. However, Stoke were on the attack, at the time West Ham were reeling and Foy probably thought it Wada good advantage to play. As a stoke fan, we have only ourselves to blame: shit pass by Moses, donkey defending by Wilson, what the duck was he doing?, and then Geoff went back to Planet Midfield and forgot about staying with his man. Stoke -"MIA CULPAE".

There are no set of circumstances where we would not have been better with them down to 10 men .-and 2-0 down so he either didn't think it red or bolted it or thought is only stoke either way its an appalling decision in keeping with his appalling. Standards . Sadly I said at 3.00 Foy would be key to the game as he always is , along with Atkinson and mariner the three worst with young Michael. Coming up fast on the rails

I have no doubt whatsoever that if it was ANY Stoke player making that tackle there would have been a red card and a media frenzy to go with it. It was as bad a tackle I have seen for quite some time and it should have been a red card.
