We lose, guaranteed thread started about Wilson even if it is not down to him. I for one would like to see him dropped just to give some other poor bugger a chance to get slated.

But even the best defenders do make mistakes. When Southampton nearly (and should have) scored in the first few minutes it was down to an error from Shawcross, but nobody mentions that. Some of the goals Wilson gets blamed for his was not the primary fault. When you bang on about one individual's errors and ignore others then that very much IS scapegoatism Nobody is saying they don't but Wilson makes one every game that leads to either a goal or an easy chance being missed. That's not normal! If Shawcross' errors start costing us then I will bang on about them but he has money in the bank and they don't. Wilson has no money in the bank (I thought he was a calamity last season too) and his mistakes cost us. There's no such thing as scapegoatism. Why? The scapegoat is usually the worst player in a side, here we are..... And in general he may not be the worst but his errors make him such. I said in May of this year that if he starts 10 league games we will struggle, here we are struggling. a) He probably has loads of money in the bank fella b) 8 goals in 9 games tells a very big story as well
