It's not needed, so why do the club bother. The roar from the crowd its self is music to my ears and is more than loud enough on it's own.

Can't say I've ever noticed it- is it a new thing? They have been doing it for a while now. I quite often don't notice it over the sound of the crowd.

think i may have heard it when i sat in the away end, its not big and its not clever and its very much rugby league where the fans all sit together and get on. get rid.

It's popular with smalltime clubs - must be stopped at Stoke immediately.
It say's "our fans are crap at making a noise, so we have to pipe a load of crap music in to generate some atmosphere".
An insult if you ask me.

so far 19% haven't noticed it, 4.7% don't care and the rest don't like it.
I might have to email Tony Scholes with the results. Keep voting people!

I wanna hear we will be with you after we score.... Couldn't the crowd just sing it? although playing something Stoke related would be better than the shite they play at the moment.

it is absolute dog shit - and Stoke City with all it's working class romanticism should not need "Chelsea Dagger" blaring out to help us enjoy a goal.
whoever thought this was a great idea is completely out of touch.
if its the kids who want it - let them pay full price and they can have a say!!

On Tv games I hate when the post goal music comes on and the morons in the crowd clap in time to it. When Stoke score I don't want to be a Stepford Wives type braindead i just want to get lost in my own celebration.

At one match fairly recently (cannot remember which one), after a Stoke goal everyone around me was leaping around, cheering and having a good mental, then a few people seemed to just stop because they heard the music and started looking at each other as if to say WTF. It's almost as if the celebration was cut short by the music which I assume is the opposite effect that the music was supposed to have.

Its the music before the match starts that winds me up. How can an atmosphere be generated when the club play music really loud? The atmosphere created by two sets of opposing supporters is the best. Was it one of the Taylor report that said that music had to be played?
