Obviously the saying goes that he will be better during the 2nd half of the season but last season with Muniesa, he was atleast getting off the bench, you look at Bojan and his role and the fixtures coming up and I myself question when he's going to get on the pitch, how is he meant to get up to speed with the league if he's not playing? Mind boggling transfer as it stands. Screams Michael Owen to me.

Took Drogba 1 season at Chelsea to get going.
Needs time.

1) Did Muniesa get plenty of time off the bench last season? 2) Bojan has started a couple already AND come off the bench quite a few times (including our last game).

He's 24 how much time does he need? At 24 he's got as long as he needs. Just lock him in a room watching David Silva videos on a loop.

He is the sort of player who was never going to pick up the premier league pace quickly at all. For the fee we paid for him we can afford to give him plenty of time.
The premier league is very different than any other league he has played in so patience is needed.
It's likely he will be doing a ton of gym work (similar to what Muniesa did) and will make appearances when it;s most sensible for him to

I think its one of those really where today we didn't need to put him on I think in games where we might need to make something happen then he might get thrown on. If we'd have been 2-0 up on 70 mins we might have seen him rather than Walters come on for Diouf.
Its a long old season and it could be that against bigger teams he might get the space that he needs to play in.

I'm not putting a downer on anything? It's a genuine question I'm desperate for him to prove himself but the fact he's used so sparingly and he's coming into the best years of his career is a concern to me. I'm sorry if I am the only one with this thought but this is a message board for people to voice their thoughts is it not.

It could go either way for Bojan. He'll either be the new Juninho, or as the OP said, our new Michael Owen.
I do think though, once we're in the groove, he'll be our main player

He's 24 how much time does he need? Just turned 24, hardly on his last legs is he?? If anything the experience of playing in all them leagues at a young age could help him to become a better player.

I'm sure when assaidi came on I saw him walk back from his warm up and throw something angrily on the floor of the dugout, then one of the coaches and muniesa put their arm around him as if to calm him down, hopefully I'm wrong but Im sure i saw something

If he didn't have issues he wouldn't have left Barcelona. If he needs time we'll give it to him. At least if it doesn't work out, he's cheap, unlike some of his predecessors

When Assaidi was told he was coming on today Bojan shook his head at that decision and did not look happy at all.

He was pissed off that Assaidi was our third sub meaning he wasn't going to play. Not sure what to think about it. He clearly has a desire to play but petulance isn't being exactly respectful to the team or the manager.

He isn't a player you bring on with 20 mins left out wide in a tight game. Therefore he can't be pissed off at the fact he doesn't come on

There's loads of time for Bojan to come good.
He needs to keep working and take his chance when it comes.
Patience is the watchword here.

He needs to be played up front in a 2, same situation as with Owen. We don't play with 2 up top. Useless playing him wide and in midfield
