Arnie looked pissed off after they scored. Smile arnie. If I was hughes I'd sellotape his lips apart to show his teeth and force a smile. He'd be taped up Monday morning and I'd remove it after friday. It might be stuck by then.

What's the injury do we know?.They're dropping like flies, Odemwingie, Diouf,Moses now Arnie who next?.I thought we had plenty of forward options at the start of the season we don't now!!

Good stuff, we need him to find form.

So what's this telling us?
He performs better at international level a la David Healy? He performs better on the left wing? He's suddenly found form and something has clicked? Stoke's tactics don't quite suit him? It's temporary and he's just a naturally 'streaky' player?
Or some bizarre blend of everything above?

Can't believe people are just mentioning the fact that Arnie went off injured almost as an aside I don't give a flying fuck about this game, what about his injury !!??

Agreed I can't believe the luck were having with injuries. For me it's the biggest factor in our poor start. We've had no continuity since our first game. At some point we've lost Diouf, Moses, Ireland, Huth, GCam and of course Odom. I don't care who you are any team would struggle with that many players out. Until players are fit well continue to struggle and it's no ones fault just bad luck. I just pray Arnos OK as we definitely need him. I'm sure I read somewhere it was a foot injury.

Yarmolenko also got an assist for Ukraine's winner tonight. So, not only are current Stoke players doing well in internationals - but also (possibly, maybe, fingers crossed) future Stoke players are also doing the business!

Had an excelent game until he got substituted. Can't really say how bad the injury is, but he played 20+ mins after he got hit and before he got substituted, so there's that.
What does that mean for Stoke? Hard to say. MA has quite a few things that have to be in place for him to work. When these things are there, he's as good as anyone at Stoke.

He linked up really well with Fuchs down the left. I think he plays much better with an attacking fullback overlapping him.

Add the long term Odemwingie injury to that depressing list and we may see the old Crouch and Walters combo then, a throw back the Pulis days.

It was obvious yesterday, that he needs players around him, who "catch his ideas".....in the Austrian National Team we have a good left side with Christian Fuchs from Schalke and David Alaba. It was a pleasure to watch the football they played yesterday.
People loved him last night and the Austrian audience is often very down on Arni.

I'm sure GCam reported last week he was fighting fit, and Ireland is ready too Let's not go overboard on the pessimism eh....especially on a dark wet Monday morning
