Just wondering how folks would react if England lost? I don't think it would be too unpatriotic to allow yourself a quiet chuckle. It's not like it would screw up the qualifying campaign, I think that is impossible to do, we only need 2nd and probably 3rd is enough, so something that left old Roy and the suits at the FA looking a bit daft would have value in itself Be nice for San Marino too, they don't have a lot to shout about.

About as much chance of San Marino beating England as Woy calling up Ryan to replace Stones.

Wasn't it San Marino that scored after a few seconds against us? Now that was funny!

Anything less than a 5-0 win is as bad as a 'defeat' in my eyes - if you struggle to beat a country of a few thousand, with a team of plumbers and sparkys with a full International team representing the might of the English game (less their best defender but thats a different thread) then its time to give up
And God forbid they score.
Or maybe that would be a good thing - a rubbish 3-1 win or something - maybe then the press might start asking questions.
The game the week after is a bigger banana skin!

It would be pretty funny, I just can't bring myself to care about England results anymore. As long as that clown in charge, picking players based on who they play for I don't give a shit about the National team

I do still care but this would just be one of those where I don't you could help but laugh. It won't happen though. That said if it was Stoke, I'd be livid!

At this point I want the national England side to be humiliated at every opportunity. I want English football to fail and collapse into a complete breakdown. The authorities don't promote the values I believe all sport should represent: valour, ingenuity, accessibility, humility and meritocracy.

I'd love it if England won 10-9 and the manager had to come out and defend his defensive choices.

I can't fathom how becoming the laughing stock of world football would be a giggle for any Englishman, no matter how much hatred you hold for Woy & the FA.

I like to see Engand win but am not particularly patriotic when it comes to the national football team, For example, I'd swap an England World Cup win for us winning the League Cup in a heartbeat....

I think most sports hold those values at their core. sorry you're right, including football i mean the authorities (as you said). pretty much all sports nowadays are governed by the money in the sport and that's why virtually all of them are corrupt and have some elements of cheating/doping/fixing involved. it's far from being exclusive to football

I would laugh, yes, irrespective of the result though it would please me if the Centre Backs were 'given a game' and made to look uncomfortable by San Marinos forward/s.

The ideal thing all through the campaign would be England 5 opposition 4 whoever we play.
just keeping the defence conceding left right and centre would be great.

Agree with the OP on this one.
It wouldn't have a detrimental impact on the qualifying campaign, unless it led to us spiralling out of control due to a reduction in confidence.
It would just be funny, simple as.
