Rather have Pharell Williams than that goofy nob i bet pharrell williams isnt " a really good friend" though He's a really good friend of mine. He's beaten his drinking problem so when I see him we go out for a curry. DAM! I got Pharell Williams mixed up with me mate Gary Williams. Sorry...

Like Alan, it's ok to acknowledge Ken's past contributions and have fond memories, but for me it's fine to move on. I thought that sounded good last night, fits the new direction. Could have been a lot louder though, with 'Northern Soul Girl' dancing in the centre circle.

Couldn't make it last night but I did wonder what was going on when I heard Pharrell Williams on the box at the end.
There are some things that should never change and playing happiness at the end of winning matches is one of them.

Dissapointingly predictable. I always thought the guys who decided the music at the Brit had a bit more style and wit.
Playing 'Welcome to the cheap seats ' by The Wonderstuff before our games v Chelsea is always a cute touch.
What song would you like to follow a victory?
Last night should have been 'raindrops keep falling on me head'.........

I feel terrible for having even remotely strong feelings about this. Even so, replacing Happiness with some pop rubbish whose only distinguishing feature is that Weird Al did a parody of it is ill thought out.

These are important issues that get done without proper fan consultation. It must be scholes doing. Where is the fan council when you need them.

"happiness" is cringeworthy. i would prefer james brown "i feel good" or how about stevie wonders "living for the city" Living for the City is one of the all time great songs for several reasons including taking on racism in New York. It's not really an upbeat celebration song so maybe not the best choice of song for a football stadium. In the same way that Atmosphere by Joy Division probably ain't what you want either - although that may have worked after the Villa game!
