Yes, on the bench and working to get in the side. If Diouf and Adam miss Sunderland, you'd imagine he'll play some part.

He's almost a forgotten man. I'm still confident he'll come good it'll just take time. He needs to bulk up a bit,

Odemwingie out for the count, Diouf out for Sunderland, Moses injured tonight, Adam a doubt, his chance may come as soon as next weekend...

He offers more than the Ireland surely? I thought Ireland did well when he came on tonight, don't think he wasted a pass. He moves the ball quickly and I thought we looked better when he was on the pitch.

A mate I go the game with said a short loan would be good for him, help him get used to english football, must say I agree, find a team that play a similar way in the Championship and give him some game time.

He's now being phased in rather than thrown in
Sanchez at Arsenal is also the same so I just wish folk would see it for what it is
He will turn into a fantastic signing

Crouch won countless flick ons tonight but didn't have that second striker around him to read the balls. I'd like to think Bojan could be that second striker who makes runs in and around him.

Ireland did well when he came on, he's just short of match fitness. A far better option than Adam in the position they played today.

Keep him here, and let him break into the team gradually. Sending players off to Barnsley has never worked out that well for us, and sending Bojan further down the footballing food-chain will do nothing for his confidence, which I suspect is his biggest problem.
He doesn't look a million miles off being a decent player for us. Make him feel wanted here, in the Premier League, and I think we'll stand a better chance of reaping the benefits.

Funnily enough Millwall were first team I thought of. Tough team but play fairly attractive Holloway footie. Either that or Id send him somewhere where theyre fighting for their lives like Fulham or Blackpool..

Yeah but unless there are injuries (granted there has been tonight), will he feature? Quite telling that he wasn't in Sparkys plans at the Cup match the other week, obviously needs more game time and its better doing it at a competitive level then playing a few reserve games.

Thing is we're not talking about Brek Shea here. We've got a player on our books who is potentially one of our best ever players, but who is quite rightly behind Ireland, Diouf and Adam in the pecking order, because he's shown he doesn't yet know how to unlock teams like Hull, Leicester and Villa. If he's as good as we all hope he will be, he'd go to a Championship club and figure out how to make his brilliant talent count against the donkeys that try to kick him out of the game. Then he can come back and put that into practice against teams like Hull, Leicester and Villa, and probably the bigger clubs too. Of course if he goes on loan and can't flourish in the Championship, then the English game probably isn't for him anyway. But he's a long-term project, and six months in the muck and nettles could be just what he needs to get going.

Can you give some examples of where sending young players out on loan as proven to be successful. Marshall? Shea? Arismendi ? The young Belgium kid? Any of those that have come through our youth ranks? Did Shotton gain that much to warrant the continuation of such a cunning development plan?

Completely agree , Ireland completed more passes in his 30 mins than Adam did in his 60 (18 v 16) and moved the ball far quicker. People always have a go off him on here. Bojan will get his chance. A rainy night in a hard fought one nil win probably wasn't the place to throw him in.

A part of me thinks bojan is a real talent and I'd like to see him play as the forward, not on the right or in the hole. He obviously has the ability to take defenders on and score.
But...
The other part thinks it is no coincidence that our three most disappointing results have come with him playing. He started at home against Aston villa and Leicester, and he came on against 10-men Hull. In those three games he sure didn't do much.
Then again neither did arnautovic...
