absolute dog shit.
Didn't run the channels or anything, touched ball 11 times according to sky.
On the other hand Crouchie was superb for us again.

Who's idea was it to try and sign him? Hughsey or Football Manager Mike?

I don't think the word 'anonymous' describes how anonymous he was.

To be honest I forgot he'd played. I saw him at the warm up before the match. Then this thread made me realise that I did not realise he actually did anything tonight.

He might have been much better for us. Also he was playing against a defence which kept Man City quiet.
Enjoy the feeling by all means but it's ludicrous to write a player off on one half

I thought he gave shAwcross a tough time first half, but ryan stands up to these types of forwards who want to battle brilliantly.

We were saying that at half time, massively dodged a bullet. Did absolutely nothing.

I don't really see why Pardew didn't keep Riviere on when he brought Cisse on in the second half. Riviere never seems to have been the lone striker type - better as a wide attacker or second striker. He didn't have much support in the first half and might have looked better with Cisse leading the line in the second half.
Not that I have any sympathy, he chose not to come to Stoke, so he's made his bed and will have to lie in it.

Not sure how you can decide we dodged a bullet based on one game.

Not sure how you can decide we dodged a bullet based on one game. Six Premier League starts, no goals and one assist....... ........no doubt someone will now mention Bojan.

Players take time to settle in and can't be written off, despite the Oatcake's best efforts, after such short time.

Hes as happy as larry

Still reserving judgement on a player I wanted to sign as an attacking wide player, not as a lone striker.Need to see him in his proper position, we know only too well the problem of playing players out of position.

He did a lot of running but really didn't have much in the way of genuine supply to feed off. He was crap no doubt but so were Newcastle.

Let him carry on what he's doing, Perhaps we might come calling in Jan at a knock down deal.

He's the French Cameron Jerome. He's fast and pretty strong but his ball control is shocking.
