A recent one for me is when Villa beat us 3-1 at home in TP's last season in charge.
I really thought we were heading down when I walked home from the ground.

WBA used to dick us a few times in the 60s. We'll have to get them back for that at some point.

WBA used to dick us a few times in the 60s. Only time I've left a game early (and not through my choice I have to add) was away at WBA - where I think they beat us 5 or 6 nil. I seem to remember that all our centre-halves were injured so we played Brian Talbot and Tony Ford at the back.

Leicester at the Vic in the playoff semi .......... Parkers goal robbed us of a Wembley and a chance of promotion to the Premier League. At the time who thought we'd ever have another chance !!!!! Still wonder how different things could have been if we'd won that playoff. I remember we played bloody well in that first leg at their ground. They were lucky to get their draw. Shame we couldn't get to the final because I fully believe we would have beaten Palace in the final.

I've finally seen their last goal now. Jeez, weren't their shorts small. Foxy was almost wearing a thong!

Also a game early in our most recent spell detailed at league 1's pleasure, I think.. - I believe it was against Huddersfield, 2-0 down and the crowd had turned. badly. Someone (Kevin Keen?) scored off a free kick with a minute or 2 left, but celebrations didnt even drown out to on-going boo's. The defeat had already been conceded, but that a goal didnt even momentarily stop the boos was.. it was right really at the time, but fucking depressing. "I think", "I believe".. details about past matches arent my strong point sorry

Haven't seen Oxford 5 Stoke 1 yet, 1998?
Not quite as bad as a lot that have been mentioned but still a horrible day.

The way we were run at the time, you just know that we'd have pocketed the money and ran. We worked miracles that season with a thin squad and made the most of Macari's excellent wheeler dealing, but we were a million miles away from being set up for a crack at the top flight and I think we'd have struggled badly. We'll never know though. I'll never forget how gutted I felt when we lost the second leg to Leicester.

Booming long throws, corner routines and long balls over the top for big target men to chase. They're all lapping it up like good uns.

Chelsea away first season up. From winning the game we some how managed lose it in final few mins. That really was a soul destroying defeat for me. And the journey home was a shitter as well.
Fa cup final the other. We will prob never win anything in my life time and we were so close. When that goal flew in I knew that was the end of te dream.

That was an irritating celebration from Van Der Laan, all right. As I recall, he skipped merrily towards the Stoke End paddock, flicking his hair like the woman from the Pantene Two-in-One shampoo advert, while pointing his fingers like extremely gay guns. That's pretty much how I remember the gypo prick celebrating as well mate. Although I don't think his greasy locks had seen a bottle of Vosene for years the scruffy fuck. Looking for head & shoulders in tescos the other day, I noticed a remodelled vosene, so I bought some for a bit of regression therapy...

That's what you call "saving the planet" I suppose you wouldn't need to spend money on onions either as the dead skin flakes would have the same consistency. Actually thinking about it,is that where your name comes from due to all the unused Onions lying around your house?

Yes, I still hoard onions today as a psychological consequence of my mum's onionless lobby.
