As soon as he went from qpr everyone from barton, fernandez and harry had a dig at hughes, hughes has been somewhat dignified when talking about qpr since. actually barton had a dig whilst hughes was still there
hopefully our team will any abuse to our advantage

The atmosphere will be poisonous, that's for sure. Hopefully it'll give us the energy to win. I'd take a scrappy 1-0

Did he get any from the Manchester City supporters? Can't say as I noticed any ! I think QPR is very different circumstances and I'm sure they will attempt to give some abuse....... Not really the most hostile of venues though is it

Love to help send them back down to face that 40 million fine that the Football league has charged them for breaching the FFP.

No matter what abuse he gets we should beat these bunch of throbbers. Personally I think these are worse than Leicester

I'd love a 94th minute contentious penalty winner. Imagine the fury on Arry's slobbery old face.

Did he get any from the Manchester City supporters? I don't think he did, after all, he signed Kompany!

Hopefully he will get dogs abuse for the entire game, Then it will hit home what a great club he is now managing.
And we finally hit some kind of form and smash them 4-0.

Did he get any from the Manchester City supporters? Strangely enough, the only abuse of Mark Hughes we heard was from a Man United fan on the train home! I think that may stem from something that went on when he was manager of Man City.

Did he get any from the Manchester City supporters? Strangely enough, the only abuse of Mark Hughes we heard was from a Man United fan on the train home! I think that may stem from something that went on when he was manager of Man City. The abuse Hughes gets from Man Utd fans merely shows how disrespectful they are. Mark Hughes was an absolute legend for Utd in his prime. He had a very impressive goal scoring record and was a vital part of their early success which undoubtedly formed the basis of their huge growth through the 90's and 00's. Their problem with Hughes is that he (rightly) took an opportunity to go and manage Manchester City. Andrew Cole played for Man City, so did Dennis Law? Nobody moans about them. He also complained about the ridiculous amount of time added on at the end of the Manchester derby, which let's be honest, was pretty spot on. They're just tossers the lot of them. If Peter Schmeichel came out and said "Man Utd aren't very good this season", all the United fans would send him a load of abuse and say Mark Bosnich was better.

Dunno how much poison 17000 QPR fans can muster - but they'll probably give it a bit of a crack for 20 minutes.
It'll make a nice change to see a game with a bit of an atmosphere.

MH has never spoken much about his time there but Harry did have long enough and a transfer window to have kept them up.

Remember too that TP is 'Arrys neighbour and might even have 'Arrys job in the near future. On the one hand we must win. On the other Martin Atkinson We need to be very careful not too mix things..because Atkinson is now taking those red cards out of those wrappers and pencilling in Stoke players names. Should be interesting

I asked my QPR supporting colleague about how Hughes was perceived and a little about Redknapp. The following was his response:
Mark Hughes will receive a very hostile reception. At Loftus Road he is the ant-Christ. Whilst Harry has spent big, the characters he has recruited have been around the style he wants to play. There was a suspicion that Hughes recruited too many players who were represented by his advisor. Not sure if that is true but there was a suggestion. I understand Coates has greater control of the transfer policy at your place. Hughes was perceived as arrogant, distant and failed to acknowledge any responsibility for the failure of the team. These characteristics were reflected in the players he recruited. If there was a poll of unpopular managers Hughes would win at a canter. As for Harry, he is marmite. Some like, some don’t. He does attract “named” players.
He also said he was hoping for a sneaky 1-0 win but didn't know where the goal would come from. Personally I'd settle for a 1-0 to us.
