Does anyone know of any pubs in the Lake District with Sky Sports? I couldn't get tickets to the match on Sunday and now I'm staying with my best mate and fellow stokie this weekend, (he lives near Cockermouth) and I'm desperate to at least see the match on TV. I've noticed that the Arsenal Vs Everton match (on SS1) kicks off just before the Stoke match on Sky Sports 2, so I'll either need to find a pub that's showing both, or I'll need to attempt to convert the pub landlord into a Stokie for the weekend.

It is a real place mate. I know it sounds made up, but it is real.

I can't get Sky - there is a mountain in the way! I'll be at the Brit anyway.
In Keswick there are several pubs which have Sky. There is a Pub next to the Skiddaw hotel (near the Moot Hall) which has it and if they are showing the Premiership match then the pub opposite on the other side of the street (an Irish themed pub I think) will have our match on. Also Sweeney's (near Fishers walking shop in Borrowdale Road) will probably have our match on in the basement bar. There is also one next to Bell Close carpark which has Sky but the screens were crap last time I was in there.

Blackpool - is that the place with the tower? No idea what pubs have Sky - I am never in Blackpool on matchdays unless Stoke are playing.

And may it be a long time before we ever play them again, unless of course they get to the premiership.

Fantastic, thanks very much for that Fornside you're a star! I've been to Keswick a few times over the years and I know where George Fishers walking shop is (and I'm sure we'll find the others you've highlighted if Sweeneys isn't showing our match). I'm really chuffed now OnlyOneSirStan - good luck finding somewhere in Blackpool! If you go the top of the tower with a massive pair of binoculars maybe you'll be able to see the Brit?!
