I saw an interview with a Birmingham player on Sky Sports yesterday, he was saying how exciting it would be if they could sign a player from the Premier League.
Well he's had those words rammed down his throat in some style hasn't he.

Good luck to him. Hopefully he can have a positive influence there, unlike his spell at Barnsley who were pretty much doomed before he'd got there! Birmingham aren't what they used to be but still a very good move for him.

I wish him well and hope he turns a corner in his career and things work out well for him. What? Far too nice. You need to do it the oatcake way, and wish death upon his family because he didn't win us the league.

I wish him well and hope he can turn what probably feels like a negative into a positive. I imagine it's last chance saloon mind.

Last chance saloon for him in England.
If he isn't a moderate success there, he'll have to go back to MLS on a much-reduced salary.
And even if he is a bit of a success at Birmingham, that could be his best idea anyway as he probably will never cut it at a level here that can afford to pay him more than he could get in America where he's a bit of a name.
If he's got 3 yrs left on, say, £750k-a-year, it's certainly going to be hard to get rid of him as he probably knows he'll never see that kind of life-changing wage again.

Looks like another thread where loyal fans throw shit at one of players.
Seem to remember a similar "Brek is shit" thread last week. And the week before..

Classic comment in that article from a Yank:
"I have always liked Birmingham FC because Birmingham is the hometown of my favourite band ever, Electric Light Orchestra, and freaking genius leader Jeff Lynne is a big fan of the Blues (I mean, the team, not the musical genre). Probably Shea doesn't even know about this, but what the hell, go ELO!"

Good luck to the lad. It's not worked out for both parties and he'll be just as frustrated as we are.

I wish him well and hope he turns a corner in his career and things work out well for him. I'm not convinced he's any good, but I hope he tears up the league and becomes a PL quality player overnight.

They obviously don't remember him coming on in that League Cup game last year!!! He must have impressed the Brum management. Which probably explains why they just about escaped relegation to League One last season and currently sit fifth from bottom in the Championship this season.

I saw the other day that Birmingham wanted to sign former Chelsea winger florent malouda. When that plan fails just turn to brek!!! Hope he can make something out of this loan move and take his chance.
