Midlands sides on the up and I wonder whether we will get the 7 or 8 teams from the midlands in a few seasons (like we got in the 70's and 80's). Think it went down to 2 with us and Villa about four seasons ago

But West Brom seem to be on the down. Other than that, if Leicester can hang on in there, we could see Derby, Forest and Wolves back in the top flight within three seasons, which could see six or seven midlands clubs. About time. Too many London and Lancashire clubs dominating the Premier League landscape.

As long as we at least stay top of the Midlands clubs, they can all come up!

I'd love this to happen, the best ever away day season ever.

Coventry City are back on the ascent again, decent bet for promotion this season. Being back at the Ricoh massive boost. Back to back promotions?

Coventry are a shit club though, just very wishy washy and boring. Nothing inoffensive about them, they just exist.
They should play in beige.

I think too many are getting overly excited too early. A clear case of premature expectation ....and I should know.!

I read a while ago that, before the 'excitement' of this decade, they'd only finished in the top six OR bottom six of any division once in something like forty years - and that was getting relegated from the Prem. To be fair I always associate them with that dramatic cup win in '87, but in terms of the league they've had literally generations of being mid-table. Nary a nerve-jangling push for Europe/promotion nor a nailbiting relegation scrap to be seen, for the entire lives of fans entering their fifth decade of support.

Actually they've been in many relegation scraps, but never been in the top six of any division since 1970. Long may that continue.
